David Lee Would Start On The Spurs

Ok Knicks played a great game last night. I found it very enjoyable even though I was pessimistic the whole time and pretty much ruled out a win.

One major reason I think the Knicks were in the game was because of Spurs' lack of talent in the front-court behind Duncan. David Lee would undoubtedly out perform Oberto and Elson, On the boards and on offense. Bonner and Horry are specialist so there will always be room for them.

Now saying all that I am not a complete David Lee lover. His game does have its faults, but this does say a lot about our young guys. :clap:

Malik starting over Lee was a real kick in the pants last night. That's why I shut the game off after I saw the starting lineup. Sucks I missed an enjoyable loss, whatever that is.

At least Lee got 30minutes. But yes, without Zach, Lee starting and getting 35mpg is a no brainer. That was a tuff pill to swallow seeing the SL.

That was definately moronic of you. Why would you not watch because of that?

Think about it. Malik knows the Spurs inside and out. He knows their schemes and he knows how Duncan plays. It's not a coincidence that Duncan played below average last night.

Lee is good, but he was great coming off the bench last night.

Maybe it was moronic of you to watch a game on a Friday night that was a DEFINITE loss, regardless of how well they played or how close it was. It was the CHAMPS versus the SCUM OF THE LEAGUE. :roll:

you really wanted an answer on that?

Duncan is the focal point.

The person next to him is strictly for defense and to take fouls. Elson/Scola.

Occasionally they put in Horry/Bonner to stretch out the other team's defense.

Lee does none of those things.

Quoted for truth. Lee wouldn't start for the Spurs, but damn I'd love to have him on my team. Guy produces without anything ever being run for him.

Oh yeah, I love Lee's game -- one that is based on tenacity and smarts, but I try not to overrate the guy. Lee can start on a few teams, but not the Spurs.
