Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

I would not have a problem with your idea and don't think the Pistons would either.
David Stern is not smart enough to realize that the TV ratings would be off the charts.
Besides, after Detroit beat the Celtics and the WCF winner this forums western conference fans would still call us 'overrated'

Nets vs. Hawks -
Anthony Johnson is probably going to get hyped to no end this game because of that one game in the playoffs (where by design) he dropped 40 points against the Nets (it's interesting how nobody ever talks about how only 5 Pacers players scored that game and only 3 of those players shot above 25% from the field)... Even with all his hype expect Johnson to get dominated by Kidd and for the Nets to get the W.
Celtics vs. Pistons -
Real toughness always beats fake toughness. KG can put glitter on his hands and throw it in the air before the game but I gurantee you that Amir Johnson doesn't give a damn.
Kings vs. Bulls -
Trash talk the Kings all you want but they have the same record as the Bulls. The Kings also have a legitimate reason for why they're 12-19 (they're without their starting point guard, shooting guard, and small forward!), unlike the Bulls who have come up with a number of excuses for why they have sucked this season (all of which have sucked more than their actual play).
Knicks vs. Rockets -
After a fluke game against the Spurs expect the Knicks to get blown out tonight. Hopefully that means Steve Francis sees some action, because Warbury vs. Francis would be a battle of epic proportions.
Hornets vs. Suns -
If Kurt Thomas could drop 14 points 12 rebounds against Amare I fully expect Tyson Chandler to drop 28 points 14 rebounds 1 steal and 2 blocks. Yes, you heard it here first, now book it and move along... Well I guess as a last note, it's going to be interesting to watch the best point guard in the nba last season (Nash) go up against the best point guard in the season this year (CP3), funny how CP3 hasn't gotten anywhere near as much hype as Nash did though...
Jazz vs. Trailblazers -
This will just be a repeat of their last encounter. Only LaMarcus Aldridge will pull down more than 3 boards in 38 minutes of action...

Weird I just read an article that said that.
I don't see how BOS can beat DET if they lost at BOS already.
I'm going to go Pistons and it may come down to matchups in the playoffs to see who advancs.
Neither team wants to face Lebron again. BOS probuly wouldn't like a CHI first round matchup... ect. Although I agree it's most likely these two will be ECF

Chandler with the Hornets has done well in his matchups with Amare
Including 2 games he played against Phoenix last year and the game earlier this season Tyson has put up 10ppg 15rpg on 58% FG, while Amare has posted 11.3ppg 8reb on 41% FG.
I do think if Chandler put up 28/14 though it would be 28 rebounds and 14pts.

When the 28-3 Celtics meet the 26-7 Pistons, the teams will take the floor with a combined winning percentage of .844. There have been only two regular season games since the NBA adopted the shot clock for the 1954-55 season where the two teams, who have played at least a minimum of 30 games, have had better combined winning percentages than the Celtics and the Pistons will Saturday before tipoff:
Jan. 9, 1972: Los Angeles Lakers (39-3) at Milwaukee Bucks (35-8)
Combined winning percentage: .871
Dec. 28, 1966: Boston Celtics (25-7) at Philadelphia 76ers (33-3)
Combined winning percentage: .853
Two. In the entire shot-clock era, dating all the way back to 1954.
As noted earlier, those Lakers, who had their record 33-game win streak snapped that night by the Bucks, and those Sixers went on to win titles. This is exclusive company, company the Celtics and the Pistons wouldn't mind keeping.
The NBA hasn't seen a regular season matchup of teams this accomplished in a decade, when the 34-4 Chicago Bulls -- who would (notice a theme?) go on to win the title -- met the 30-9 Rockets on Jan. 19, 1997.
