Well it depends, we can get very good talent in return for Battier.
The following players Id trade Battier for:
Mike Miller
Ron Artest
Mike Bibby
Jason Terry

- all IMO would be a perfect fit in this team, but if we continue to lower turnovers and play well, then we should just keep the team as it is.

Battier to Memphis for Rudy Gay and Stromile Swift.

Memphis would laugh at that proposal though. :(

He's been far too inconsistent this season.

His shooting is off, and frankly his defense is arguably the most overrated in the NBA and doesn't provide too much after that. I seriously think we should trade him with his value right now at least being above average.

How about trading Battier to Clippers for Maggete? The salaries match. Maggete is likely to opt out after this year, so Clippers might lose him with nothing in return (although this might not be a negative since it's Clippers we are talking about). Maggette cuts hard to the basket, attack basket relentlessly, and shoots fairly well from outside. The only negative is his relative low bball IQ and questionable attitude. But he can be an upgrade.

yah..i would do it..but I doubt it would happen anyway.

yah, I have to agree his shots are not falling, like an offensive liability, I know it's hard for him.. I thought he could be like the Bruce bowen or Raj Bell..In nba, it's hard to stop anybody..I would trade him plus Mike James, which I think we would get a decent deal..

Return to Houston Rockets
