Post#1 » by jeremy1215 » Sun Jan 6, 2008 1:52 am

Of course fillers will be needed, but I love this lineup.

Kirk
Little Ben
Nocioni
Smith
Bynum

6th man: Big ben

I'm sure Big Ben would be thrilled when he hears he will be the new 6th man of this team

Well Bynum could be 6th man, but this trade would be perfect for both teams. Kobe gets his Pippen like player, and we get the low post scoring that we need. Either side could add picks/fillers, but this is just the gut of the trade.

They didn't trade Bynum for Jason Kidd, why would they trade him for Deng?

I think Bynum has definitely been deemed untouchable.

Why would LA do this trade ? Bynum is having a breakout year , And he has the potential to become the next Great Laker Big Man

If NJ couldn't get Bynum from Kidd, we aren't getting him for anyone on this team

The lakers need scoring right now and Deng could very well give Kobe the kind of scoring help he needs, Bynum won't give them that just yet. They aren't even starting Bynum right now.

Bulls:

Hinrich
Gordon
Nocioni
Smith
Bynum

Lakers:

Fisher
Bryant
Deng
Odom
Mihm/Brown

I wish we could do that deal. It might be better for the lakers if we expanded it a little.

Incoming Players
Viktor Khryapa
6-9 SF from Ukraine (Foreign)
5.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.0 apg in 16.8 minutes
Luol Deng
6-9 SF from Duke
17.9 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.3 apg in 35.4 minutes
Ben Wallace
6-9 C from Virginia Union
4.6 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.9 apg in 32.9 minutes
Outgoing Players
Andrew Bynum
7-0 C from St. Joseph (HS)
12.4 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 1.6 apg in 28.7 minutes
Vladimir Radmanovic
6-10 PF / SF from Serbia-Montenegro (Foreign)
7.4 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.6 apg in 19.3 minutes
Kwame Brown
6-11 PF / C from Glynn Academy (HS)
4.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.4 apg in 20.0 minutes

This would leave us with:
Kirk/Du
Du/Ben/Thabo
Noc/Vlad/Thabo/griffen
Smith/Tyrus/Noah
Bynum/Gray/Noah

How about:

Luol Deng
Ben Wallace
Aaron Gray
1st rounder

For

Andrew Bynum
Vladimir Radmanovic
Kwame Brown

Do you think they would take that? We need Viktor for SF insurance after this trade, and they get another big man prospect in Gray.

Because Deng has more value than Kidd.

Im sorry but theres no chance in hell the Lakers are trading Bynum, let alone to the Bulls no matter what combination of players you come up with, its not happening. Watch a few Lakers games and tell me if you would trade this guy? If youre the GM and you want to lose your job, or have your name mentioned along with Isiah and Mchale then go ahead and trade him...ok go head and roll it

The ONLY way Paxson gets them to agree to trade Bynum to the Bulls is if he has photos of Phil Jackson and Mitch Kupchak with lipstick on taking advantage of a mentally challenged midget ..and no i dont mean Nate Robinson

How do they get another big man if they just traded away 3 big men?

That trade actually works through trade checker though. But Viktor for SF insurance. I'm speechless.

the lakers overrate bynum about as much as we overrated deng in the past few years. However their overrating may be a bit more justified in that he's a center. I honestly would be curious who they'd need to get in a trade to trade bynum...i can't imagine the list being more than 5 or 6 players.

Honestly i think they have every right to overrate the guy, he's still just a kid and watching him play IF he wore a Bulls uniform there arent many players in the entire NBA id be willing to trade him for.

He is the real deal, and im so glad the Lakers didnt trade him for Jason Kidd, the last thing we need is to have to deal with Bynum for the next 10 years in the East, he is going to be something special, but anyone who watches him play can see that

Deng is simply not in his league, Bynum is a guy you can build around

The Lakers would be crazy to even consider that trade. Bynum pretty much has to be considered untouchable at this point.

He's 20 years old and he's averaging 12.4, 10 and 2 blocks on .624 from the floor.

AND he's got a legitimate post game.

AND he's got legitimate center size.

AND he's an excellent athlete.

AND he's still rapidly improving.

If he was on the Bulls, would we even consider trading this guy?

That said, I chuckle this morning at the inevitable "Lets trade Deng" scenarios after he sits out a game with injury and his 6-years-older, wildly erratic, backup has a good game.

Because Kidd is 34 and Deng is 22. That's pretty obvious. Deng has a lot more value than kidd. That being said, they still would never do the deal, Bynum will be putting up 20 and 12 by the 09-10 season and that streak will probably go on for 9-10 years. Not to mention his presence down low on the defensive side. Great pick, kupcake is a very underappreciated GM.

Lakers won't give Bynum up for Gasol or JO. What makes you think they will for Deng?
