Kings @ Bulls Postgame Thread: Its a hard-knock life..

Post#1 » by kulaz3000 » Sun Jan 6, 2008 4:17 am

- 1st half play was interesting to say the least. Tyrus got plenty of time, as we also saw Gray and Noah getting time also. But the most suprising thing was to see Thabo in the game, and get plenty of burn. Sure, he made a few mistakes, but Boylan let him play through it and he began to contribute by making some deflections and making a few shots.

- Noc was on fire and ended the half with 20 points. Our defense was very mediocre against a very depleted team. But our offense, cutting, movement on the offense has really been impressive under Boylan, yet out defense has a long ways to go. Playing looser has seemingly limited our turnovers the past few games also.

- A very sloppy and uneventful second half. Tyrus showed alot of hustle throughout the game, which is a positive sign. Again, we played lazy defense, and we started to become really sloppy with our offense also. Against a team that is as depleted as the Kings, its just unacceptable to play this poorly.

- Tyrus and Thabo really lifed us in the fourth quarter. They were energized and gave alot of effort on both ends. They made a few mistakes, but considering that they have seen alot of the pine for the majority of the season, it was great seeing them make positive contributions and being allowed to play through mistakes tonight.

- Regardless of who we play, we seem to break down at crunch time and give opportunites to the opposing team with stupid turnovers. We need to toughen up in the fourth and play smarter. Turnovers kill momentuem and confidence, as it also doesn't give us an opportunity for us to put a shot up to give us any chance to win a game. Dissapointing.

- Turnovers. Turnovers. Turnovers. The Kings turn the ball over, and we turn the ball over right back. Thats just not going to win ball games. We basically made an easy game into a very difficult game. I found no enjoyment in this win besides seeing Tyrus and Thabo recieving extended mintues and contributing. We should have crushed this team by the third quarter at the latest, yet as we usually do we play down to our competition.

Welcome back(for now) Tyrus and Thabo.

Hard Knock Life

I'm actually embarrassed now that I said in the GT that Big Ben earned his bucks on a night where he got 1 pt, 11 rbds, 3 ast, 1blk, 2stls.

don't care if we got a W or L in the standings. Tyrus got 23 minutes, so this game's a win for the Chicago Bulls organization.
Trade Wallace

(this worked for Skiles. Lets go for 2)

It was a foul on Duhon - but we'll take the W

What an awful NBA basketball game. Neither team is able to run an actual offensive set in crunch time without turning the ball over. This is who we are though.

I have to admit when Tyrus brings that effort you cant but wonder why he doesnt play more. Maybe the staff thinks he doesnt take that effort and bring it towards practice. Anyway without Luol this team sooks lol.

We won a game we should have won. Nothing to get excited about. Hopefully tt can get some minutes now.
I have a soft spot for tall, skinny, athletic big men who have little offensive game.

I don't care how sloppy that was, it was a fun game. Good burn for Thabo and Tyrus.

Did BW foul? It didn't look like it, Duhon did for sure but I guess it was after the clock? The refs were our six man tonight. You hate to win games on a sour note like that but wtf a win is a win.

It was Duhon with the foul. If I was Miller I would be pissed as well.

We got away big time
