Who do you think is/will/should be the MVP?
I think it should be Kobe because not only is he putting up great numbers but the Lakers are doing crazy and headed for 50+ wins. The Cavs are wack right now, Allen, Pierce and Garnett have each other and Duncan has Manu and Tony Parker. The way the media has done it this millenium is that they've given it to the superstar who's the only superstar on his team and has posted MVP calibur numbers and his team is great, 50+ wins great. KG's numbers are nowhere near MVP calibur numbers and he's in the East and has Pierce and Allen, the Cavs are wack right now, Dirk's numbers are worse than last year's but mainly Kobe fits the criteria more and same for Chris Paul. Dwight Howard just isn't MVP material, he gets all his points by easy baskets under the rim created for him by his teammates.

Honorable mentions
Nash, Paul, Kidd-------all playing their best seasons yet. All playing at a comparable level. Can't believe Chris Paul is 22.
Roy, Kobe, Ginobli------exceptional seasons.
Chris Kaman I always thought he was good. But then he went and turned into vintage Kevin Garnett. Complete with the unreal stat line, amazing defense, and completely useless supporting cast. 18 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks per game.
Dwight Howard=23-15-3....when was the last time someone put numbers like that up? Hakeem in his prime?
Sorry. The MVP has to go to the smartest, most dedicated, most passionate big man in to play in this decade. Physically dominant, a complete game changer on defense, this is Kevin Garnett's coming out party. His leadership has completely transformed the identity of the boston celtics who could conceivably threaten the Bulls record 72 win season. Granted this era is diluted, but
Pippen>>>>>Pierce
Rodman>>>>Allen
When can we start comparing Kevin Garnett to Michael Jordan?

Last year was without a doubt Lebron. This year? Kobe. He's doing the most with the least. Dirk?

yeah the Lakers are winning but Kobe is only shooting 44 percent from the field. The Lakers bench has been better this year plus Derik Fisher has made them better. Bynum has gotten better. If Kobe was averiging more assists maybe i would consider it but he's only averiging about 5 per game. its hard to give it to Garnett because he's only averaging 18 pts per game and his rebounding is down but he brings alot of intangibles to the game. If i had a vote i would give it to Chris Paul. Without him the Hornets would suck. The Lakers would have to win at least 55 games for Kobe to get it.
Thats why Im easy easy like Sunday morning.
