Good to see the Celtics win against Detroit. I know for sure they should be able to take them in a series knowing they can win at home and on the road against them.

yeah..and they are all doing so well after Scott's departure, right?? The Nets have to be THE MOST over rated team of the past few years..they have no identity, no half-court offense, no frontcourt at all and Carter is soft as hell, while all Jefferson does is yelp like a dog after each dunk.... And is Thorn really a good GM??? Signed Jefferson to a massive contract, almost all of is draft picks are busts, Kristic is another soft jump shooting Euro big, Planinic and Wright SUCK.

So Krstic who was picked at 24 and averging 15,7 before the injury is a bust??

Sean Williams is a bust??

Josh Boone picked at 23 is starting and put up 17, 12 tonight is a bust??

Wright is a bust...and so was planinic but no GM is 100% in the draft...

Jefferson gets payed 12 mil a year, a guy who's putting up 25 a game...not too bad either...

Seriously STFU...

Kristic is a JUMPSHOOTER!!!! And yes, he is NOTHING special..esp without Kidd..no back-to-the basket game at all...and doesnt like getting pushed around... Williams is athletic, but no game other than dunking...Boone is ok, nice role player, but nothing great...Jefferson is overrated...Inconsistent handle, inconsistent jumper... What the hell have the Nets won with those guys anyway??? Yes....2nd round exits.... So you STFU... you dont have a case...

Chris Paul has been the BEST player in the NBA this season. He's been absolutely ridiculous and at another level in the 4th quarter. The Hornets are legit and can seriously knock off any team in the NBA on any given night.

What's up with Utah, Roy didn't even play the second half.

Just another game where the Suns ignore Amare = loss. Figures

When he gets more than 13 shots, we're unstoppable (14-2)..11 shots tonight.. :sigh:

Definitely a huge win for the Celtics

Their biggest of the season. Didn't get to see most of the game, but from what I saw and heard, got a decent grasp of it.

Glen Davis was excellent, finishing around the basket and getting those feeds from Pierce/KG. I dig his game with his big body and quick feet, as well as his energy and toughness. He comes off as a mature rookie to me, to where he can be in the rotation with regularity. Like he has been. This game not only was great for him, but for the team in chemistry and somebody else to look to, probably.

Think they might need another veteran on the bench, though.

Krstic still averaged 15 and 7 and WAS PICKED 24TH, THAT AUTOMATICALLY ELIMINATES HIM FROM BEING LABELED A BUST, Just like the other players I mentioned...

And we don't miss Byron scott, what the hell has scott ever done in NO besides suck his first year giving them the chance to draft chris paul??

Seriously dude stop talking out your ass....

How basketball should be called? Maybe, if the up-and-coming fan really gave a **** about learning the proper way to call a game objectively, which would be weird -- anyway, they could just watch video of the 80's NBA finals telecasts when Tommy was the premier color commentator in the game. How basketball should be played? He coached a team to one of the greatest records in history, and in two other seasons he coached a team to a title. He learned from the best coach in NBA history. I'm pretty goddamned sure he knows how basketball should be played, and in between bitching at the refs and orgasming over rookies making simple plays, he does a pretty good job communicating his vast knowledge of the game.

NO DOUBT He's got history as a great coach, commentator etc.... I don't doubt that...

I just get sick of his homerism.....and if I have to hear him say "TOMMY POINT FOR PERK!!!!" again, I'm gonna jam hot pokers into my ear-drum...

THat just gets to annoying ...

Clearly didn't have anything to do with how well the other team played.

sprash9802 wrote:Slow down the game, pound them on the glass and make Nash play D...thats the way to beat the Suns..which brings me to another question...Are the Suns REALLY a contender?? I mean, EVERY ONE knows the ceiling of this team..a WCF finals AT BEST, where they would get eaten alive by the Spurs. They still dont defend, dont rebound and Amare gets ABUSED by any big with a decent back-to-the-basket game. Further, when he is getting abused on the defensive end, he stops rebounding as well... Too bad D'Antoni is hell bent on proving the European style of play wins in the NBA...And ownership h=gives away first round picks like dollar-menu items...this team's window is almost closed.

Lol, how dramatic you are !

Suns are still one of the top team of NBA; D'Antoni already won championships in Europe with this style, and he'll do the same in NBA.
Back in 2001-2002 season, it was so fun to see Benetton Treviso playing with Garbajosa at 5 and Nachbar at 4 against Kinder Bologna's big stiffs Griffith and Frosini :D

And IMHO, the Hornets won mainly because they played small ball with Peja at 4.

The NBA is a different game compared to Europe.

Peja replaced David West. Who is a skilled beast of an undersized, mobile PF.

He is also in the Hall of Fame as a player.

But the real point is that he is a holdover from the old days when the local announcers were almost never heard outside their own city so the homerism stayed at home where it plays well.

Actually Heinsohn is almost balanced when compare to the Celtic legend Johnny Most but few people outside Boston ever heard Most.

Now when Tommy Gun did the color for the 1984 NBA FINALS for CBS with the Celtics playing the Lakers....well that was just savage on Laker fan ears.

I know because I was a Celtic fan living in So Cal at the time and those poor fans had their psyche verbally brutalized....especially so since the Laker equivalent (Chick Hern) was usually quite balanced in his approach.

And why do we love Tommy? Because he's a legend and a shameless homer. The Celtics are his family, dude. His ref-bitching gets annoying, yeah. But none of us really care, because it's fun for CELTICS FANS to have such a lovable, legendary homer doing the color commentary. If you don't like him, stuff it.

Which is all well and good for CELTIC FANS. Which is the problem I have with NBATV and it sounds the same for Leage Pass. When NBATV broadcasts a nat'l game they use the local commentators. I would think that they would have the funds to use their own unbiased crew for the rest of the country/world. TNT and ESPN can do it why not for NBATV. It's not like they televise a game everyday........

That was obviously a foul, he purposely tried to take his arm off, stop the homer postings and look at the game with clear lenses. Why should KG get a tech when he is bending over to get the ball and Max is standing over him talking trash? The refs were all over the play so stop complaining. Maybe if he used more professionalism he would not have put himself in that position.

G35 hit the nail on the head I don't want to have to listen to the worst commentator in the league in Tommy Suckson when I tune in with NBA League Pass.

I literally have to mute the game when he starts to talk.

I can GUARANTEE the Suns wont win the championship, if they face a healthy Spurs team in the playoffs...Sorry Suns fans, your team is just not built for the playoffs... They are the Yankees of basketball..a good regular season team, that flops in the playoffs because of their lack of defense, toughness and rebounding.

Dude, for the time being, when you get to see a game you wouldn't normally see like you do on NBATV and League Pass, you're getting a peek into the league from one side's perspective, not an unbiased national perspective. So for the time being, you're just going to have to sack up and deal with it. Maybe even appreciate it. Don't people find clowns entertaining?
