You said it right but sadly, I dont see it in D'Antoni. Phoenix has the players that can win the championship from offense to defense, yes guys, we can play defense but I dont think its D'Antoni's priority.

I dont even think that a TRADE is needed to make this team a championship team. Obviosly Suns need a Center, but I dont think D'Antoni needs it..yes its his SYSTEM.

"When the nation wonders why Suns Nation panics over a 23-10 team, tell all those people this and they should then understand. . . The Suns are 1-6 against the West's current playoff seeds."

So? We were 15-11 against playoff teams last year. Not exactly blowing everything away.

Mike is not the problem. Rebounding and post D is the problem.

not rebounding the ball and not playing correct defense has everything to do with dantoni, he tells the players to switch almost everytime so that they dont waste all there energy on the defensive end, they dont rebound the ball because he tells the players to run as fast as you can down the court to score, think about it, why do the suns score so quickly? because while the other team has 4 players trying to rebound the ball, the suns are already trying to score, they dont crash the boards because they slow down the offensive tempo, therefore they get outrebounded, my point is your going to get outrebounded when you are out numbered on the boards 4-1 or 4-2.

look at the roster:

-marion and bell are probably top 5 defenders at there position
-amare would probably be top 5 defender if he was playing at his correct position
-hill is a great defender and so is skinner
-banks is also a pretty good defender

-barbosa, nash, and diaw make us a bad defensive team, but thats fine because we get great offense out of nash and barbosa, my point here is we have defenders, that can be great, but dantoni needs them to give 75% on the offensive end.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well that pics sums up the 100,000 words people are saying about the Suns.

its the same freakin drama queens whinging that were whinging this time last year who thought we were championship caliber last may

time to get the hell over it guys, were a great team with a great coach and a great system

all you fools who expect us to go 82-0 with a team of multimillionaires with egos, injuries, insecurities, are crazy

we are nowhere near the team that we will be come april, just like last year. the april suns would have CREAMED the january suns, it just takes time to gell etc. FACT is we are a more talented team than last year, we have added no ball stoppers, when that chemistry meshes, we will be better than last year and last years team was good enough to win it all

all you fools who want to sack the coach after every loss, you need to learn in life to not have suck knee jerk reactions to everything, its about the journey, the ups and downs, then finally the destination

its not what happens to us that defines who we are, its how we deal with it

Phew.....I feel so much better now that I know that...thank you SDU for your reassuring words. I was beginning to think that our penchant for getting outcoached and our 1 and 6 record against good teams was an actual reflection of how good this team is. Phooey on the regular season.

hire jeff van gundy, he'll use amare to the best of his ability, and actually use the bench.

firstly - spurs have lost to 5 of the 7 teams who would be in the western playoffs if they started today

secondly - tell me 2 things - when was the last time the team who led the NBA in january won the title?

and how often does the team that finishes with the best record win the title?

you whingers are fools

first you complain that dantoni plays the guys too many minutes, you whinge that he wont play the bench, then you complain at a few close losses. nash played under 34 minutes yesterday, he got banks some court time

he could have easily put nash on for 48 and went for it, but he left nash out till 5 to go in the 4th quarter, gave banks some experience and we lost a close game

woopdedooda, what mattters more, this one win / loss, or nash rest, banks experience etc?

really, neither of it matters, getting to april healthy and harmoniously matters

frank - i dont know how you live with such a "sky is falling" mentality

freakin drama queens - ALL of you

It's a double edge sword for Mike. Fans are gonna call him out either way - kill Nash 40 minutes to squeeze out a win or lose a close one because Nash doesn't come back until they're down 5.

Well in a game vs a team that has been elite this season yea I do want the best player on the team to play 38 + minutes especially in the 4th quarter when the Suns offense was so stagnent.

It's not like Banks was doing a good defensive job on Paul in the 4th anyway Paul was getting past him every time.

^^^That makes me wonder why we didn't put Shawn on Paul. He's usually our go-to guy defensively against smaller, quicker guards and he had guarded Paul several times before. I didn't see him guard Paul once last night, so that was either a blunder strategically, an experiment, or Mike didn't want to show his hand to the Hornets and let them prepare for it next time. Again, we made alot of weird mistakes and it still was a very winnable game. Some folks here need to relax and really watch the game.

simple fact - as long as you are close to the top of your conference - january games dont matter
