SomewhatDamaged wrote:Okay, it has reached its tipping point with me and I really can't take it anymore watching our team implode like this so often. Sure I can't blame the entire loss on Bosh, and I'm not, but he's really gotta start growing a pair and taking things personally. I understand it's not in his personality to get ticked off at the opposition, but somethings gotta give.

What makes these great players great, as we saw tonight, is them using something, ANYTHING, as ammunition to set'em off. Every "great" (ie: MVP calibre) player in the league has this quality, but for whatever reason Chris doesn't seem to have that, so I feel that we have to take it on ourselves to let him know that he's really gotta grow up and start playing like a man.

I've mentioned before that it's going to take something pretty drastic for him to change his mental makeup, not to say this thread will accomplish that, but I really hope he can wake up. I don't even care about his stats, I want to see him get pissed off and take over games when we need him to. The only person that seems to have this type of swagger/confidence is TJ.

Anyways, he really needs to man up. Our team needs it, because they take on his identity.

Wake up dude, wake up.

PS. No, I do not 'hate' chris bosh. If i was a hater I'd say trade his ass. I'm simply pointing out something that he can improve on to make him an even better player.

Its actually true, the raptors do forget that they have a big man that can get to the line during crunch time. Its not Bosh's fault entirely but he needs to start demanding the ball whenever the team encounters a lull on the offensive end.

He does get the ball, usually in the high post and then he waits for the team to send the double then he passes to Moon for the 3pt attempt. :nonono:

His crunchtime decision making is awful.

Heart and Soul of the Raptors is TJ FORD! Billups said it last game and I couldn't agree more. Bosh is a great player but not a crunchtime performer.

So it is Bosh's fault if Moon takes a bad shot? When Bosh gets doubled his responsibility is to make the first pass and let his teammates find the open man. However it is very easy to guard the raps if all 4 guys stand at the 3 pt line when CB is doubled. One of them needs to flash to the low post to try and get an easy layup.

Moon is always open because teams rightly so leave him open knowing he cannot hit a lake! On the other hand Kappono did not have good look in LAST 4 GAMES.

Are these teams reading scouting reports? Look at our record.

In this case I would blame the coaching staff for their lack of plays too

Bosh shouldn't be waiting for the double to come. I think everyone in the world knows this but him. He is quick enough to get by almost anyone guarding him. The only time he should wait is when Pono, AP and Calderon are hot from beyond the arc because then we can punish teams for doubling. That has not been the case at all lately.

Ford's return will help this too, the teams are playing us so tight on the perimeter because we have no one to attack the paint so they extend their defense beyond the 3pt line. Only once did Jose take advantage of tonnes of room the defense gave him and it got him 2pts from the line. TJ would be killing teams giving him that much room to operate.

What he needs to do is power through the fouls and hang on to the god damn rim. I'm sick of seeing him putting up those pansy man tosses when he gets fouled. The amount of times he goes to the line for two instead of and1's costs us games.

bosh does need help, he isn't lebron who can take a pretty crummy team to the finals. our starting pg might be finished, so it's basically bosh and calderon. maybe we should trade bargs for someone who would acutally help our team

bargs for roy? blazers say no
bargs for aldridge? blazers say no
bargs for gay? grizzlies say no
bargs for dwight? maurizio says no

That's a great point. How many and1 opportunities has Bosh earned this season? I bet you could count them on both hands. Most games he has none.

So why is it that when I said Bosh was a bad leader you all wet your panties that your mothers laid out for you.
My name is Taiyab, and I realize there is an intra-team conflict at the Point Guard spot.

bosh had touches. there were constantly hoards of people clogging up his way to the basket. dude was 9/11. somebody else has to step up.

and bosh is just not james. if james hits the jumper he can do whatever he wants on the floor whenever he wants. bosh can attract attention but then somebody else has to do something.

bosh did only get 5 rebounds today which kinda sucks though. we need some freakin rebounding.
Sam wasn't the solution, but he wasn't the problem either

Bosh got Parker, Claderon and Moon wide open three pointers in the last 5 minutes that they all blew. He backed Varejao down, drew a double and made the right pass. Kind of like how LBJ got Damon Jones those open threes, the difference is that Jones hit his. Bosh made the right plays, but the morons on this team just want him to barrel down the lane (100% of the time mind you) and when he misses bash him for hogging the ball and trying to be the star (same as when TJ goes into takeover mode)

Now tell me this. Why is our franchise player deferring to a CBAer in crunchtime? Bosh waited for the double to come then passed it to moon. We need to get offense going towards the basket with 5mins left, Bosh is our best option without TJ and he refused to take it strong against freaking Varejao!

He needs to make better decisions and quick.
