I'd say this is as much a product of coaching as it is Redd. There's no reason the ball couldn't go into Bogut more if that's what the head coach demanded. It's also important to realize there have been plenty of games this season where Bogut didn't deserve to touch the ball in the fourth quarter so going with Redd was by far the best option. But I do think the offense is geared too heavily around Redd in crunch time and there needs to be better ball movement. I'll say what I've been saying for years - treat Redd like he's Reggie Miller and not Kobe Bryant and I think the entire team would benefit.

True, but sometimes Redd needs to ACT more like Reggie than Kobe.

Charlie Bell is the great player named Bell to ever play for the Bucks tonight.

Discuss.
See what happens when we get production from some of the bench players? Simmons, Bell, Ivey, and Ruffin contributed wonderfully to a win. Bogut also had a really good game, especially down the stretch.

It would be so nice if we could CONSISTENTLY get production from the "others" like this night in and night out when Redd comes back? Our record would be a hell of a lot better than it is right now if we did.

Bobby Simmons was supposed to be that guy, but it hasn't panned out. Obviously, we aren't getting any of those guys for Redd so we need to find a guy who could become like them.

What do you think about Julian Wright?

Like I said in the thread, add NO's 2008 first if the initial offer isn't enough.

I cannot believe you guys expect him to have games like this each night. How can he possibly score 25 points with Redd, Mo, Bell jacking up shots constantly?

You have to understand that the problem here is not Bogut. Bogut has been consistent all year.

God damn, even the Raptors board is more intelligent than here :( Atleast they argue using facts rather than making crap up.

Its sickening to see some of you say "Oh this is only ONE good game for Bogut, nothing impressive". He has played well so often, not just this one game.

True but Redd supporters were using the fact that we got blown out to show that we need Redd.

In conclusion, I blame everyone.

No question. It's a two-way street.

Absolutely. It's no coincidence that the last two victories have come in games where some of the guys who've stunk all year have played well. That has nothing to do with whether Redd is playing or not. He isn't responsible for the poor seasons those guys have had.

I know, its ridiculous. Obviously I want Redd traded but I'm not dumb enough to try to use tonights game as any argument towards moving in that direction.

I'm pro many Redd trades but using the fact that they are 1-1 against Charlotte with Redd this year and 1-0 without him is absurd.

the only thing absurd is the fact you took the statement out of context.....it was posed to Europa after he made a comment that the Bucks struggled to beat a bad Charlotte team.

No I was just joking lol, we cannot out do the Raptors board for stupidity, yet :P

But seriously, I want somebody to post actual facts here to prove that Bogut rarely has a good game. As you all have been saying.

What do you think about Julian Wright?

http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=747409

Like I said in the thread, add NO's 2008 first if the initial offer isn't enough.

I think that I like Brewer more because he's already a good player, who if given a larger role could break out to be a very good player. He's just far more of a sure thing at this point. Wright has a long way to go before he's even as good as Brewer.

How about the fact that his production this year is EXACTLY the same as year 2 outside of shotblocking and his FG% has gone down?

He played pretty well. He's been an OK bench player and Voskuhl has been OK so am I the only one shaking his head at the fact the Bucks are paying $6M a year for a fourth-string center?

Its about getting everyone involved, and running the offense through Bogut. Bogut is a very smart player and one of the best passing big men in the NBA. I bash Bogut more then anyone on the board, but I like what I see when the offense goes through Bogut instead of Redd and Mo.

His teammates are the same as year 2, the BACKCOURT is the same as year 2....................I hope he does go, go somewhere to a team that has a clue how to play the game right.

not at all. it's one game against sub-standard competition. the way we use michael redd on the other hand, is something that is in need of attention.

Then you're not a Bucks fan, you're a Bogut fan, and you can get the hell out along with him.

I want Bogut to stay. It's all about keeping things in perspective. One great game doesn't mean he's f'ing Wilt, one bad game doesn't mean he's goddam Kandi Man.

People around here need a massive lesson in sample size.

Ok that is very true, Finally somebody provides true facts!!!!

But can you just remember, he is only 23. If he has gotten better at shotblocking this year, why can't he add 2 or 3 more rebounds to his game next year?

If getting a double double means having an average game, my gosh Andrew Bynum has had lots of average games.
