Flash is the Future wrote:We Cook put Cook at SG and have him guard the PGs. It's not like Wade hasn't played PG for extended periods of the season before due to the injuries of other players, so don't make it seem like it's that big of a deal. Wade is already our playermaker, just as Lebron is Cleveland's playmaker. Redd gets abused at the 2 anyway, so I don't care if he gets abused at the 3.

The Heat have not had great success with Wade playing point and they definitely would be better with a Wade-Cook-Redd lineup.

But Wade would be playing PG in that lineup

Wade played PG his entire rookie season. We've had success with him at PG. We just haven't had recent success with him at PG because that means someone's injured (if he's playing PG) so we're already short on man-power.

Here is one proposed by Skones on the Bucks board:

skones wrote:Milwaukee Sends:
Michael Redd
Charlie Bell
Bobby Simmons
Jake Voskuhl

Milwaukee Receives:
Dorell Wright
Jason Williams
Alonzo Mourning
Julian Wright
Jannero Pargo
Rasual Butler
Bobby Jackson

Miami Sends:
Jason Williams
Ricky Davis
Alonzo Mourning
Dorell Wright

Miami Receives:
Michael Redd
Bobby Simmons

New Orleans Sends:
Julian Wright
Jannero Pargo
Rasual Butler
Bobby Jackson

New Orleans Receives:
Ricky Davis
Jake Voskuhl
Charlie Bell

Adjusted Depth Charts:
Milwaukee Bucks
PG: Mo Williams / Jason Williams / Jannero Pargo
SG: Dorell Wright / Desmond Mason / Bobby Jackson
SF: Julian Wright / Rasual Butler /
PF: Yi Jianlian / Charlie Villanueva / Michael Ruffin
C: Andrew Bogut / Dan Gadzuric /
CUT: Ivey, Noel, Storey

Miami Heat
PG: Dwyane Wade / Chris Quinn / Smush Parker
SG: Michael Redd / Daequan Cook /
SF: Bobby Simmons / Luke Jackson
PF: Udonis Haslem / Mark Blount / Alexander Johnson
C: Shaquille O'neal / Earl Barron / Joel Anthony

New Orleans Hornets
PG: Chris Paul / Charlie Bell /
SG: Mo Peterson / Ricky Davis / Adam Haluska
SF: Peja Stojakovic / Ryan Bowen / Marcus Vinicius
PF: David West / Hilton Armstrong / Melvin Ely
C: Tyson Chandler / Jake Voskuhl /

Miami:
Miami gets exactly what they want. They get immediate help in a big way by adding former all-star Michael Redd to the lineup.

New Orleans:
New Orleans bolsters their depth like they've been looking for by adding guys who can help them on the wing as well as adding a veteran in the post. Voskuhl as we all know, brings a great attitude and hustle.

Milwaukee:
We get two young guys in the Wrights. Both are extremely long and athletic guys that can help us down the line on the defensive end. Wright will have to be resigned after this season, but given how he really hasn't fully established yet, he's the type of player that can be had for cheap and really come as a bargain a few years down the line. Milwaukee clears 11.7 million dollars off the books this year and 8.1 million off the books after next season.

Miami needs to add a first.
New Orleans might need to as well. It miiiiiight make it overkill for them though.

The picks mentioned at the bottom by the other two teams are to be used as sweetener in the deal.

i dont see how that trade helps Milwaukee at all. Wright from Miami is expiring and has showed flashes, you take on Bobby Jackson, you still have Gadzuric and Miami will REFUSE to deal a first round pick considering the fact that they take expiring contracts and take on two long term deals that do help them somewhat. O yeah, New Orleans wants short term help cause when they go to re-up CP3, they only want Peja-MoPete-Tyson-West-Rookie contracts

Miami doesn't really have a 1st to give until 2010. If you want our 1st this year, then too bad. I really don't think we should give up a all of that for Redd AND have to take back Simmons. I'd probably do it without the 1st.
