By the way, Steph has improved our guard position by coming back (even though I hate to admit it).

My goal for this lineup is to form a cohesive unit of players, that can be a vital supporting cast along with two all-star level players. We get a chance at a lotto pick this year to get a star point guard or center. If we fail, we get another chance two years from now. Salary cap clears up in 4 years allowing us to make a move for a second star, if we can't add two through the draft over the next 4 years...
Our philsophy is somewhat akin to the triangle offense. No defined player positions. Rotating players to different spots and trying to get the other team to switch on screens, leaving them vulnerable to being exploited by the right mismatch. Players who can't shoot now will be put right in the mix, and we are going to force them to pick up that shot. Most scoring is done through cuts to the basket and drives to the hoop by Crawford, Nate and Marbury. Defensive pressure, provides some needed scoring through fast breaks. Marbury is not in our long term future. He will come in, but only if we need someone to come in and control the ball. Robinson, Crawford and Collins will be thrown into the fire and be forced to develop their skills as a distributer. I love what Fred Jones is doing this year, for his defense and his effecient scoring. So he gets a nod.
Guards:
Crawford (30) pos: 1,2
Robinson (30) pos: 2,1
Jones (25) pos: 2
Collins (11) pos: 1, defensive specialist who can handle big guards. pair him no matter what with Crawford or Robinson for some burn every night.
Forwards: every conceivable combination works here.
Chandler (25) 3 pair him wit
Balkman (30)** 3,4
Lee (35)** 4,5
Malik Rose (24) 5
Jeffries (30) 3,5
**as long as they want, but lets not kill them with injuries so young in their career. we're not competing for anything. let them rest.
-Eddy comes in only when he is blazing. If he is not super focused, playing his ass off, he gets no time and we learn for good he's not part of our future. Still, give him a chance to earn his way minute by minute into the roatation.
-Marbury comes into games, only if we need someone to right the ship/avoid turnovers if things get sloppy.

Our pick is top 22 protected next year, and unprotected the next...More then likely Utah ends up with our unprotected in 2010.....
Utah receives a 2008 New York first-round pick (top 23 protected in 2008, top 22 protected in 2009 and unproteced in 2010) (Tom Gugliotta trade 021904) via Phoenix (Marbury trade) Phoenix receives a 2005 New York Knicks first-round pick. (010504 Marbury trade).
And plucking Allstars out of any draft is easier said then done...

I would like to keep Nate in the starting rotation because of his energy and as I have stated before, he has the ability to become a really good player in this league if given the opportunity.
