Do you guys feel that Nate can take over a game?

Nate is a very talented and tough player.

Yet he's best suited for the energizer, 6th man role off the bench. When he can handle the rock, do his thing with the second unit and score in bunches. Just like Crawford.

For a starter he not only lacks height but also smarts and basketball understanding.

I don't really agree

A dude like Earl Boykins fits well that description, a guy who will provide quickness, energy and scoring off the bench, but IMO, Nate is better than that.
We don't need him to be a "true" point guard, imo Isiah and the Knicks underestimate how good a Collins-Nate backcourt can be compared to the crap we have right now, guys who don't fit with each other, dont cut the passing lanes, dont pressure the ball, get beaten off the dribble...

in my eyes, nate and jamal are very similar players. jamal is taller, can move the ball better, but nate is more consistent and is a much better shooter. both would make very good 6th men.

if they are starting or getting major minutes on your squad, then there's a good chance your team is lottery bound.

Just because the current players we run out there right now are trash doesn't mean that we hold other guys to lower standards. I would love to see Mardy and Nate out there right now, but to say they are the solution for the future is a bit over the top. I like Collins and Nate, but both starting together?!? No...

Nate is special. He might be our best player we don't even know.

Dude can average 20 ppg easily, he shoots a higher percentage than jamal, and even though he can be posted up all night long on D? he's still a physical player who will fight for the ball, get steals, and pressure the opponent and make some special plays like the block on yao last year.

Nate should be our starter at the 2 spot, and guard PGs. A guy like Mardy Collins would be perfect next to him. A playmaker on offense, and a solid defender who can guard swingmen. (like Snow and Iverson used to match).
