yeah, the engineer of one of the biggest season turnarounds in NBA history, guiding an amare less team to the conference finals, implementors of a system that has created a 2 time MVP and assistant coach to team USA doesnt deserve our respect or benefit of the doubt
ill say it again
all this whinging makes me realise NONE of you people realise how lucky you are to be fans of such a great organisation, especially at this current time

D'antoni is an above average coach, bt i don't believe that he's has something special to make his team champions.
There aren't too many special coaches in the league. Let's check , how many different coaches won the championships in last decade:
1992-94: Phil Jackson
1995-96: Rudy Tomjanovich
1996-98: Phil Jackson
1999: Gregg Popovich
2000-2002: Phil Jackson
2003: Gregg Popovich
2004: Larry Brown
2005: Gregg Popovich
2006: Pat Riley
2007: Gregg Popovich.
5 different coaches in last 15 years. They are the winners. Sorry but i don't think that D'antoni can be a member of this group. Phoenix should go after Larry Brown or can give a chance to Rick Carlisle.

I didn't see him guard Paul once last night, so that was either a blunder strategically, an experiment, or Mike didn't want to show his hand to the Hornets and let them prepare for it next time. Again, we made alot of weird mistakes and it still was a very winnable game. Some folks here need to relax and really watch the game.
He started off on him. Paul didn't take him one-on-one, instead they ran screens for him all night. Because we were switching and pressuring the ball-handler this meant that we had to scramble to cover Chandler who had rolled to a position under the basket.
With Marion and Amare out trying to trap Paul that left Hill, LB and Nash trying to cover Chandler under the basket who was wide open. If we switched it was Amare on Paul and they isolated him.
In the past when Marion has taken on Paul one-on-one he has done a good job but it was evident early on that they had no intention of just letting Paul beat ppl off the dribble, they were going to screen/PnR which made Marion ineffective. Spurs do the same thing these days when we put Marion on Parker which is annoying cos usually he does a good job on those types of PGs.
