Yes, another one of these...

Bobby Jones and Richie Frahm were recently waived and unlike the regular, "pick up these scrubs who got dropped" threads, these guys actually specialize in something. Richie Frahm proved that he can really shoot the ball. However, we already have Kapono, Bargs, AP, etc. Another weapon beyond the arc would not hurt though. With that being said, I really think Bobby Jones could be the next Bruce Bowen. Bobby and Brandon Roy played on the same college team and Bobby was a legitimate lock down defender, way better than Roy. Obviously as a young player he is still learning but if he develops into a great defender and nothing else, is he not worth a roster spot?

Neither have proved anything, and the last thing we need is a guy who has proven nothing.

I've seen a lot of Nuggets fans rocking a "Drinking the Bobby Jones Kool-Aid" sigs. Now, I'm not sure whether it was in jest or whether he was for real but he was still getting some hype and attention from them.

I'd give him a shot, just cut that bum D-Mart.

Just read the Nuggets board, and all of them are angry that he was cut.

They're blaming George Karl for sticking him in the doghouse for no reason, other than the fact that he's a young player and Karl doesn't like young players.

According to Nuggets fans, he's a good defender, a great athlete and is very mature.

Exactly, cut D-Mart and offer him a coaching position. Boby Jones would never get minutes on Denver anyways cause Melo's gonna take up 40 minutes then Kleiza takes the rest. Any other time left goes to Diawara.

The last thing this team needs is more mediocre wings all on the same middling level. Bobby Jones isn't enough of a difference maker to peak my interest frankly.

Jones is a smart, aggressive defender and a great rebounder. Last time I checked we needed help defending the wings. It's been proven already that Joey and Juan don't fit into our long-term plans and will be dealt with shortly. So why not get rid of both, sign a natural PG with an expiring contract to back-up Jose, and sign Bobby Jones. At the very least, he'd be better off on the court than Joey Graham.
