Kings/Bulls/Knicks

Post#1 » by Cruel_Ruin » Mon Jan 7, 2008 10:28 pm

Bulls Outgoing:
Ben Wallace
Joakim Noah

Bulls Incoming:
Eddy Curry
Quentin Richardson

Why: They deal Ben Wallace's albatross contract for a guy who can give them valuable post scoring. It costs them Noah, but he hardly plays and they have a similar player in Thomas who plays the PF position as well.

Knicks Outgoing:
Eddy Curry
Quentin Richardson
Malik Rose
David Lee

Knicks Incoming:
Ron Artest
Ben Wallace
Kenny Thomas

Why: They get their man in Artest and fill up the vacant C position with Wallace, who is a better fit next to Randolph. Could be some issues with Artest/Wallace, but the brawl was a long time ago the fact that the two have made up is well documented.

Kings Outgoing:
Ron Artest
Kenny Thomas

Kings Incoming:
Malik Rose
David Lee
Joakim Noah

Why: Shave a year of Kenny's contract with Rose and getting two young bigs like Noah and Lee is good value for Ron Artest. They can still try to win now with the current group of Bibby/Martin/Salmons/Moore/Miller, with a future of Beno/Martin/Salmons/Noah/Hawes.

John Paxson would cut his fingers off before making this trade.

Is that constructive?

Ohhhhh, I get it. You're a kings fan.

You unload Artest and Thomas, and get LEE, AND NOAH?

Not to mention the bulls would rather die than unload Ben Wallace for MORE longterm salary, and the knicks are too far gone to care about Artest anymore. Awful.

Horrible for the Bulls. Bulls and Curry reuniting would be horrible. And Knicks say no to. Way to many bad contracts going to Knicks even if they do get Artest. Kings say yes.

Does this mean Curry would take the heart test before he signed with the Bulls (The original thing that got him traded)?

Kings would be lucky to get Lee for Artest in addition to dumping KT. Getting Noah also is ridiculous.

^^

This from a guy that thinks Mike Bibby is worth used chewing gum (well that's about all he'll offer for him anyway)

Lee isn't enough by himself to get Artest, but Noah probably is a little too much.

hey, I know what its like to put up a trade that you think is fair then realized that you boned one team, it was a valian effort, maybe if you threw garcia and balkman or some picks over to the bulls they might think a little

Bad deal for Chicago.
