I think it was more Davis surprised them than anything else. They kept doubling KG or PP and they kept passing it to Davis who would get a lay up because they forgot about him. My guess is that this will not happen again they next time they play.

What I am surprised about is how Davis rarely gets blocked. The guy cannot jump at all and all his shots look that they have the potential to get swatted into the 5th row.

Well since they did the same team dance before playing Milwaukee, Charlotte, Memphis, and every other team they played at home the past several seasons I guess you could say it meant nothing since they do it each and every home game. It wasn't anything special or for the Boston Celtics.

might wanna check the facts before you get all smug and self-righteous. Pistons don't need to bring the extra hoopla for your precious Celtics in January. Maybe if the Pistons had the "I can't believe this is happening to us" type cheerleaders like Scalabrine...

Have fun with yet another precious ECF appearance, it's as far as you'll get. Again. Might be your last one, too. Enjoy it. Savor the hoopla of winning those first two rounds.

sully00 wrote:The thing about Billups playing it off like it doesn't matter is the Pistons have been hot and were telling everyone that they were the ones who were going to send the league a message over this 3 game stretch, with Dallas and SA coming to town after the C's. They drop the first game against the C's at home and sure they can play it off like it doesn't matter, it is just a regular season game, but then again maybe it is also a sign that their run is coming to an end they lose a big game and it doesn't really matter.

Boston has acted like every close win was game 7 all year long no matter the opponent they are having fun.

hey, this is what I tell the celtics. keep it real and they are. they are not faking it and are very excited about the teams start. are they suppose to act like they dont care. these are the feelings they have and they are letting it out.

sorry, but the celtics have intensity. I would rather them show it and show the true feelings they have when winning. ride the emotions.

I am a big fan of Uconn basketball and the pistions might have a case of what the Huskies had in 2005...they had amazing talent but they started every game as if they didnt care and or already won...they felt teams were just inferior and it came back to bite them in the tourney...they were by far the best team...

my point is that I love that the Celtics need no motivation, with the big three especially KG everyone comes to play...I have visited the pistons board before and the fans def. feel that their team does not bring it every night like they could....maybe they are just pacing themselves, hopefully we do not burn ourselves out come playoff time...I think we should be fine though...

Actually yes. They have been to the conference finals 5 times but the finals twice and only won once. One of biggest problems they have had is they seem to lose focus and lack urgency, specifically against the LeBrons last season.

If this comes out of Wallace's mouth so be it, that is his character, but for this to come from your leader, in Billups kind of points to why they only have two finals appearances and one title while coming out of the East. This is a team that needs to push for more out a of crew that might be at its end. At this point they look and act like they are on cruise control and they aren't good enough. I think when this season ends they will be expected to be in the conference finals but they may not get there and if they do they may roll over.

I don't ever recall Magic, Larry, or MJ losing a big regular season game (I probably could stop right there) and talking about how it was just a regular season game and it just mattered more to the other team.

I think cockiness will be the Piston's downfall not the Celtics'. Their own posters are worried about this. Chink in the armor, I think so. This is from one of the Piston's board more annoying posters.

No joke. We all know this team, and we all know how arrogant they can get.

I think that pretty much sums Chauncy up.
