Is that something to aspire to?

i would MUCH rather have the hawks roster then the bucks...

Starters

PG- Mo Williams>Acie Law
SG- Michael Redd=Joe Johnson
SF- Desmond Mason< Josh Smith
PF- Yi< Marvin Williams
C- Andrew Bogut= Al Horford

Backups
PG- Tyronn Lue, Anthony Johnson>Charlie bell, Royal Ivey
SG- Salim Stoudamire>Awvee Storey/David Noel
SF- Josh Childress>Bobby Simmons
PF- Sheldon Williams<Charlie Villanueva
C- Zaza Pachulia>Dan Gadzuric

As for starters, i think hawks beat us 2-1
As for bench, i think hawks beat us 4-1

They have Josh Smith and Marvin Williams who have been playing outstanding this year, and have improved year by year since they have arrived.

They have rookies in Al Horford and Acie Law who will only improve

They have Joe Johnson who is a top 5 SG in the game

Along with that their bench is deep, and still young. One more player, and i think that team competes for playoffs and more

I would take the Hawks over the bucks any day

Yeah it was just funny to hear someone say they want to be the Hawks, not that the Bucks are better. I don't disagree with a lot of that although they're in the same "potential" boat as us in a lot of ways. I disagree that Johnson's top-5 or even any better than Redd. And I don't want to make this into another trade thread or anything besides Sessions thread.

I agree with everything wichmae said. Also healthy to hear him temper the expectations a little bit, even though it's fun to have someone doing so well down there.

The last thing this franchise needs is to be the Hawks. I understand your personal disinterest for Mo and its good your critical. BUT your arguements against him have been essentially disproven with this years play. I know that Mo is highly regarded by management and would be willing to bet that if they did move a back court player it wouldn't be Mo Williams. There isn't more than five other point guards in the east that are as young and physically gifted as Mo. The last thing at this point I think upper management will do is tank again. They need to bring people back to their seats not alienate the fans anymore with a PR disaster of giving away players at this point. Besides the biggest trade asset on the team right now isn't even suited up...

The last couple of games that they have played have completely shown that Mo is far from expendable. Top this onto that he is BYC and very cheap for a starting point guard in the NBA. I highly doubt he is moved.

I just looked at his D-league stats, and he is averaging
21/6/7 per game.

Yes, he gets a lot of minutes (35 per game), but just 3 games ago he went for 16 points and 18 assists. I think he can be just as good as mo next year or the year after. He scores 21 ppg, and is still shooting 45% from the field. While going 21/6/7, he is only averaging 2.8 TOs per game, which isnt bad.

I say we trade Mo, and get as much as we can, get rid of that horrendous contract and give this guy a shot.

what do you think?

I think you probably haven't watched Sessions and like most guys on here you look at their stat line. I am not saying Sessions won't be a player but I haven't watched him in the D league so I am not going to say get rid of Mo for a guy I never have seen play much.

Honestly how much have you seen him play in the D league?

"Mo has been the consummate point guard so far."

Really? He's been a great team player, and a better than just good guard - but I don't think "consummate" is the right word for him, especially when he's wearing the point guard label.

a lot of these Bucks have actually gotten the Bucks into the Playoffs recently.

The Hawks can't say that.

Not really a finite judgement either way, ATL's roster is on its' way up no doubt, but the 2 playoff visits while rebuilding post-Karl ain't that bad.

nba.com/dleague just posted a list of all 100 call-ups from the D-league since its inception, so I thought I'd try to answer the "Who's gone from unknown in the D-League to starting in the NBA?" question. I've included some guys who aren't starters, but who get significant minutes. Also, a few of these guys had significant NBA experience before going to the D-League.

Mikki Moore
Bobby Simmons
Devin Brown
Matt Carroll
Rafer Alston
Anthony Johnson
Ime Udoka
Smush Parker
Chuck Hayes

Obviously no stars, but there are definitely some useful players in there, and that doesn't include formerly delegated players like Martell Webster, Louis Williams, Brandon Bass, Jordan Farmar and others.
