But we're paying Gadz $6 million to just sit on the bench. At least Simmons can actually get on the court. Gadz is 4th string behind Voskuhl and Ruffin.

How is it dumb? You either let him go, don't get your fourth foul, and only give up 2 points, or hammer him and give up at max 2 at the line. You don't get the foul AND possibly give up 3 points.
