I grew up knowing about and liking, and eventually loving Kobe myself. He's been one of my top favorite players for numerous years now, and somewhere on my all-time list. He's fun to watch, plays the game the right way, and I respect him.

I like how he's handled himself since around the season began, with the trade stuff, and it's worked out well for him with how the Lakers have developed and continue to grow as a team. They just can't run into injuries like last season.

Well, Dooling has a solid mid-range jumpshot. Arroyo's not a good jumpshooter in general.

But yeah, have to live with a jumper rather than Dwight around the paint.

But if it's a choice between doubling off of him and doubling off of Hedo or Rashard, I think the answer is pretty easy.

John Salmons injured and Brad has the flu. Are we cursed?

Post#26 » by ~73aLL372~ » Wed Jan 9, 2008 1:51 am

I just heard this on khtk 1140 [that John Salmons is injured and Brad has the flu], but I don't know any details on the injury. Wow, I feel really bad for the Kings. This has got to be the worst injury year in the history of the NBA.

edit: merged since it is game related

No ****ing way! Damn... Is this for reals? If so, we are losing 5 or 6 LEGIT starters (Bibby/Martin/Salmons/Artest/SAR/Miller)...

In the positive side we could see even more of Hawes/Williams/Douby....

Yeah, that's really the only positive thing I see in this. But think on the bright side, when they come back, everybody will be back so we can start and fix everything at the same time. And more justin Williams=Greatness

Damn, I never heard of this before...The whole potential lineup is either out for the season, sick and injured... Wow, we should put a disclaimer that when joining the Kings "you will be either injured or out of the season at least one time during your stint here"....

The only starters that haven't really been injured yet are Brad and Mikki of course, with the exception of tonight. Wow, that's just horrible lol

The Bee mentioned these issues this morning. Salmons twisted his ankle in practice yesterday, but was listed as "probable". Miller sat out practice because he was sick, but was expected to play tonight. Don't know if the status for either has changed through the day today.

Another day, another injury

Yes, I'm sure since these 2 understand the circumstances and the amount of players we have, they will suit up for today's game. I hope Salmons injury doesn't only get worse as time goes on :(

Good luck tonight, but damn... you guys got lucky with all these injuries. Magic always struggle against teams without their best players. :(

God, that's unpleasant to read... even if they're playing, still not healthy

More time for the young guys would be interesting, though

I'm kind of curious to see how our young bigs (Williams/Hawes) will handle Dwight Howard. They'll probably be eaten alive.

Hey, why not? We're not winning anyways, start the young bigs and get them some game-time experience. We'll probably be blown out, but it'd be better in the long run.
