OT: Getting JOB with Toronto Raptors (What is available, etc

Post#1 » by DerrickRose23 » Wed Jan 9, 2008 4:54 am

Hey there, I am curious what jobs I could apply to for the Toronto Raptors..

Lets say as a hypothetical
my background was similar to Lawrence Frank in that I was a manager of the Florida Gators under Billy Donovan during his 2 championships in a row. He had me doing video editing, some skill stuff with the team's players and other odd jobs.. I coach in Florida for two AAU teams and am 23 years of age graduating with a Honours degree in Political Science.

What jobs would be available in the Toronto Raptors' organization if i wanted to move back to my hometown of Toronto?

Video editor? Assistant coach? manager? Video Assistant? Manager?

I am curious as to how Lawrence Frank got an assistant job and what similar avenues could be open to me as well..

huh? I'm kinda surprised you're asking on this forum. Why not write somebody within the organization.

Pfffff. Have you lead the virtual Toronto Raptors to 7 straight titles from 2009 to 2015 in NBA 2K8? That alone on my resume could get me BC's job.

Looking for someone to prevent hecklers from heckling.
My name is Taiyab, and I realize there is an intra-team conflict at the Point Guard spot.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_Frank

Frank coached throughout his undergrad.

Honestly, your best bet is to go back down south if you eventually want to have a real career with the Raps.

There aren't enough significant sports teams in the country for you to gather the necessary experience to eventually get to where Frank is, especially in basketball.
I_Like_Dirt wrote:The whole comparison to Kevin McHale is ridiculously close, imo... And that's without more hilarious aspects of the comparison, e.g. if Wally Sczerbiak were 7 feet tall with the slower reflexes that came with the additional height, he'd be Bargnani.

when you become the Raps head coach, don't forget to read this board for "solutions" on how to make the team better...

Good Luck!

PS: we'll also mature by then - the majority of posters here will be in their high teens by then

Also don't forget, we can all do a better job. We just don't want to.

If you believe some posters, the position of 'Face of the Franchise' is open.
