Looper v/ Supan.
I would imagine the normal lineup.

I'm gonna beat everyone else to it and declare this the best game thread ever!

In all seriousness, I'd say this is appropriate given the state of this team. I can see Ned going with the Sunday special line up and putting in a bunch of scrubs. Well, with how we've been hitting lately, that doesn't really rule anyone out. Maybe we can go little league style and bat everyone?

As good as that win on Friday way, yesterday's loss wipes that clear off the map. It's like hockey. It's not the shift the goal is scored that is more important, but the shift afterwards and how both teams respond. The Brewers failed. They had a huge opportunity to actually create some momentum in terms of this series and this team and they completely crapped themselves.

After the loss this team needs to win both games to close out the series. It's time for everyone else other than Prince and Ryan to step it up.
While Ryan and sometimes Prince swing at absolute crap and could be doing better, I'm not going to complain when Prince hits a game-tying HR and Braun goes 3/5 with 2 doubles.
There are a few things like Braun not coming through in that bases-loaded situation and Prince sometimes playing poorly but they are at least making progress. Would I like Prince and Braun to both play to superstar level and carry this team to more wins on their own? Obviously. But both are progressing towards getting out of their early season slumps.
The nature of this team was supposed to be 2 dominant guys in the middle of the order and the other 6 non-pitchers were all very good contributors. Right now we have 2 pretty good middle guys and zero side contributors. Kendall has been fine I guess...he's had good at bats, played good defense, and drawn walks. Cameron has sucked lately...Hall is good only in a few small streaks and otherwise sucks...Hart is doing OK but nowhere near potential...Hardy has been in a constant state of being a below-average player although I will say his late game at-bats have been very nice lately. Weeks is sucking just from the standpoint that he doesn't need to hit that much better...but if the only way that he gets on is walks that bothers me.
I think if a few of these guys got the mind-games out of their head and just contributed it would go a long way to helping Fielder and Braun in the middle of the order.

The Brewers offense can survive one or two guys having below average offensive seasons, but not 7 of them, and that's exactly what's happening now. This team, collectively, needs to wake up.

Agreed. What I'm saying is that at least I have seen an attempt from Braun and Fielder. Braun drove in the majority of our runs in that horrible road trip and also hit a game-winner vs. the Cubs. Both he and Prince need to be smarter at the plate and do some things better but I can understand when a hitter is off his game for a while.
As for the rest of the order besides Kendall...hitting a collective .210 or so isn't going to win us many games. They might be under .200 collectively if it wasn't for a hot streak from Hart a while back.
But yeah, I agree with what you're saying.

I don't think many people would be surprised if he did.
I just looked at the standings, and threw up in my mouth a little. The Pirates have won 5 in a row and we're now tied with them. Seriously, the PIRATES! If we are only as good as the Pirates, some changes need to be made, quickly.

Cameron out, Gwynn in
By Anthony Witrado
Sunday, May 11 2008, 10:02 AM
Mike Cameron is out of the lineup today against Cardinals righty Braden Looper and Tony Gwynn Jr. will make his second start since returning from the disabled list. Cameron had been in the starting lineup every game since returning from his 25-game suspension.
No word yet on what decision will be made with Eric Gagne, but I'm assuming we'll know shortly.
2B Rickie Weeks
CF Tony Gwynn Jr
LF Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
RF Corey Hart
3B Bill Hall
SS JJ Hardy
P Jeff Suppan
C Jason Kendall
