Breen can't say it was a travel because you are allowed to take one hop step. Dominique Wilkins use to do it all the time.

Both feet have to hit and leave the ground together to be a legal hop.

And bulls' commentators actually behaved like Knicks fans on that play. "Wow!", "Look at that!", and similar phrases.

They are still the worst commentators in the league though.

How is that move not considered a turn over? In my opinion, Crawford travelled. He took at least 3 steps

In order for that move to be considered legal, in order for each hope to be considered one step, both feet have to hit and leave the ground together. Hop, hop. Left+right, left+right. Not left, right, right, left. Crawford did the latter. So, he took four steps. Still, impressive. But not legal.

He jumped from his right leg at the moment he caught the ball and landed on 2 feet. That's legal. If he landed on the right foot (which he did a lot earlier the season ang to a lot of travelling calls), THAT would be a travel. It was good move.

Its hard to say going full speed like that especially considering he still has his dribble when he goes behind the back takes a hop to the left and then forward to the basket.

After he dribbles behind his back, he scoops the ball up with his left hand which immediately ceases his dribble. I guess it's debatable whether in that instant his left foot was already planted or whether it constituted a new step. But regardless, what he did next with his right foot, which came down alone, was a new step. And then his right foot comes back down, alone. Another new step. And then his left foot comes down. Another new step. That's at least three steps. The right and left feet lifted off the ground at the same time, but because they initially landed one and then the other, it's not a legal hop.

Don't get me wrong, he's hardly alone in committing that travel, and he's hardly alone in getting away with that travel. In a context in which players all over the league are abusing the hop step rule, most notably LeBron, what Crawford did was indeed sick.

Are you kidding me? Tommy Heinsohn paired with Howard Cossell (bless his soul) would still be the WORST play-by-play pair in the league...

Okay, so the next time we win a game wherein Z-Bo and Marb play well, but JC puts up less than stellar numbers, I don't want you coming here to bitch about it, alright?!

I've seen worse and a good no call on the travel. His right foot shuffles a bit making almost 2 steps before his left foot takes off.

He hopped he didn't take any extra steps, this was a great move, however some Bulls players got away with extra steps or moving their pivot foot a number of times but were not called for a majority of these infractions, this happens all the time in the NBA.
