Jerryd Bayless, if you dont know, go watch him.
Eric Gordon is also a viable option.

I cannot comprehend why someone would want Mayo on the Knicks other than they want the #1 pick in the 2009 draft. Mayo is a ball dominating SG who is VERY turnover pronged and loves to chuck up shots.
Eric Gordon is a MUCH better scorer than Mayo and MUCH more efficient. Mayo has close to twice as many 3 pointers as FTA and Gordon has pretty much the opposite (even though he is a better shooter than Mayo).
For those who said he is a winner, his team is only 9-5 while Gordon's team is 13-1.

I would definitely go with OJ. Even if doesnt develop into a PG(which i think he can, he plays the 2 at USC), at 6-5 200+, he would be a legit shooting guard with added playmaking ability. But what i would do, if OJ's stock continues to fall as it is now, I would trade down to the 7-8 range, pick Mayo and get some other picks.

good point, plus he plays good defense, vs memphis, he was all over rose... he denied himthe ball several times, that is hard as hell to do...

Im 99% sure Bayless is coming out, chase is likely leaving, who knows if Lute will return to coach & Kenny anderson.. imean Brandon Jennings arrives on campus next year and will push bayless to the off-guard if he doesnt, so imo he gone..
Also between him, gordon and mayo for the knicks i'd say mayo fits the best and would give us a arenas/hughes-like backcourt once marbs is sent packing.. he has a good J, good passing ability, and good D.. just needs to know he aint the man(wont be a superstar imo, just solid starter) but it will need to be ingrained in him, to play his role.
Gordon reminds me so much of Ben its ridiculous(pure J, doesnt change directions well/stiff and has a shaky handle) but he's much more selfish @ the college level(not a bad thing tho), and probably a tad longer.. not a PG, and looks more like a sixth man/instant offense guy to me
Bayless is a smaller monta ellis, or marbury now a days, when he drives, he looks at one thing.. the hoop.. i think he'll be a good player though, but not a fit for nyk
if available you have to take Jordan who may endup as tyson chandler pt. 2 or could be jelani mccoy, but i think will be similar to andrew bynum if he gets the right coaching
pick if jordan, rose, beasley are all gone then you go w/donte greene.. w/his J..he'll compliment curry well if EC is staying
PS- isiah needs to find a 2nd, or late first for Rodrigue Beaubois french pg.. from what i hear, he looks like a carbon copy of darren collison(w/better physical tools)... i think he'll fit this roster pretty well

They are both 2-guards in a 1's body. Haven't we had enough of those? I'd rather get a 2 guard with a 2's body.
What are you talking about? Eric Gordon is a SG, he's 6'5. Have you seen him play, have you seen his numbers? He's leading the big ten in points per game and here is his shooting numbers - 50%FG-86%FT-45%3PT damn near 2 points per shot, are you kidding me?
And Bayless is just so damn smooth and he like Gordon has that XFactor to take over the game but in Bayless' case, he can take over the game by creating for others if needed or he can just take you off the dribble all day.

Like Monta Ellis?
Bayless has by far a more superior offensive game, definitely not finishing at the rack but the jumpshot is not even close.
How do you get Eric Gordon to Ben Gordon? When does ben Gordon EVER drive to the rack? He doesnt even have the amount of strength Eric does and he damn sure doesnt have the 6'5 frame.

^^ Eric Gordon is NOT 6'5, at best 6'3.. but likely a solid 6'2
-Bayless is not a better jumpershooter nor prospect, nor does he have a better offensive game than monta ellis.. i flatout disagree w/this
-Ben drove to the hoop in college about as much as eric does.. watch the games
-Ben is probably stronger than eric.. he has a much stouter frame now, and when coming out of school..eric is taller, ben looks to be as strong, if not stronger..also..again watch the games.. their styles are very similar IMO
gordon better than mayo.. i cant dispute that, but i do think mayo has "IT"(even though i dont think he's an especially talented prospect).. i think EG will reach his ceiling far before mayo reaches his

That's been the knock on Mayo....some say he already reached his peak....he has played five yrs of H.S. ball and yet some say he hasn't improved that much throughout his yrs.

Ben Gordon is like 180-190 lbs meanwhile Eric Gordon is 220. Eric is BY FAR the superior finisher of the two and A LOT more athletic than Ben. Eric has taken nearly twice as many FTs as 3s meanwhile Ben did the opposite.
When will people learn that size does not matter unless you utilize it? Mayo is 6'5" but he rarely get to the FT line. Gordon is a much better and more efficient scorer and shooter. They are also comparable rebounders. The biggest difference is that Mayo needs the ball to be efficient meanwhile Gordon can score off the ball.

Eric Gordon is 205-210 tops, but I see your point. My knock on Gordon is that he may be better than Ben Gordon, but he's still the same type of player. Eric could be a Baron Davis type of player if he had any ability to create for his teammates, which so far, I have not seen. I think his size will relegate him to an energizer/scorer off the bench, like a Nate on 'roids. This is a size league, and for what his skillset is, his size is a liability. Even DWade at 6'4" had PG skills coming out of college.KOA wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
