How about passing? Thats kind of a big deal for a point guard....

The fact is that Detroit is one of the best offensive AND defensive teams (and Billups is big part of that) this year, the Nets are one of the worst offensive teams. I would say that's much more than some assists number.

Sure it is but Kidd is giving the ball away almost twice as often as Billups even though Billups is taking it the the rack a whole bunch more which is usually a big reason for TOs (see Wade, Maggette, Pierce). Kidd gets a lot of assists but he also gets a whole lot of turnovers and since he doesn't score that much you can assume that those turnovers are coming from passing. Not say that Kidd isn't an amazing passer but his volume assists are not more impressive than Billup's efficiency with his dimes. Add in that Billups hasn't lost as much on D as Kidd and he is a much much much more dangerous offensive player...

I honestly feel that u can't judge Kidd by looking at his numbers... The guy almost gets a triple double every game but he doesn't possess the skills anymore to impact the game by taking over. In most of his triple doubles this year... I have barely noticed him. His terrible shooting cannot be overlooked. This team lives and dies by Vince Carter and not Jason Kidd. That could be different if NJ was assembled like the way the old NJ team was where Kidd would have some running mates like Kittles and Martin. But as of right now, he doesn't so he can't thrive as much as he could since Vince doesn't like to run.

However with that said... the gap between Kidd/Billups and the next best PG in the east is too big. Sorry but Calderon does not even deserve all star consideration. I don't care what the stats show but he does not have the impact on games that an all star should. This is coming from a raptor fan too who gets to watch Calderon practically every game.
