Yeah your right and Bargs is a bust, Bosh isn't a superstar, Jose's overrated and Sam sucks and coaching. Man this forums is pure GARBAGE now days. Delfino was a steal for second round draft picks. Yeah Detroit didn't need him and we could use him. He's helped us win games this year so STFU. It's sad to see people waste their lives complaining about the stupidest **** on here. But it's always sad to see me waste my time reading this crap and then responding

Delfino is great for us, he does chuck the ball oftentimes but he's a good defender and a strong rebounder. Weren't people crying for an athletic wing who can rebound and defend? Does every player in our lineup need to be nothing short of a superstar before we start giving up on them, questioning their trade value and how/why we got them?

Boris Diaw - can't shoot

Deng - A player that I doubt you would normally include as a Euro

I'd tried to help you by trying to list some of the euro players (in bold) that you could call a jack of all trades, then realised that my earlier suspicions were true. That was one of the most ignorant, baseless statements I've ever read on here.

If there were ever a stereotype about European players, it is that they are fundamentally sound but are primarily shooters.

(FYI, it's a jack of all trades)

Raptor fans just go to extremes so easily. At the beginning of the year when his 3 point shot was falling some were saying that it would take the entire mle to sign him. Now he is playing like assbars and people think he's a scrub.
why was hakeem called "the dream"??"

Because it rhymes with 'Olajuwon'.

He's an interesting guy. He has the talent. Inside, outside game. Defense, can run the break. Just about everything. He's just one of those guys who needs to be reigned in. To know when to keep it simple, and when to suddenly make his move.

Cassius, your right it is jack-of-all-trades, lol. But you misuderstood the rest of my post. I didn't mean every American is a chucker or every International does a bit of everything. But was rather reffering to what he was hyped to be when coming over, and what he instead looks like on the court. I used the term American chucker because there aren't hardly any International players (especially who play the wing positions) that are real chuckers in the league. His decision-making is more Mike James than Manu, basically. He forces everything.

I don't think one response has agreed with the OP. I'm not gonna buck that trend. We got a solid rotation player for practically nothing. Where's the problem?

Ugh,
I wish the Leafs were doing better so their bi-polar fans could stay away from my Raptors,

What did people expect from Delfino? An All Star? a 20ppg player?

We traded two second round draft picks, for a solid role player who is in a slump.

The Hornets gave up two second rounders for a few month rental of Aaron Williams, FAR to much value is being place on second round picks that will be in the 40's.

delfino isn't hitting shots right now but he still is fighting for boards and whatnot. he's still pretty dangerous if his shots are falling and i still like him.
Sam wasn't the solution, but he wasn't the problem either

Detroit moved Fino for financial reasons. If they didn't, they'd be in the lux tax. simple as that.

No question he's hit a bit of a slump - and he will never be a great offensive player - but I think he does a very solid job in the role he has - and over time, I expect his shot selection to improve - even if only marginally. He needs to be at around .420 or higher to not be a negative influence on offense.

Its really too bad we lost Hopla - because we have three guys this season - Humphries, Delfino and Moon - who I think could really elevate their play with some work on their shots.

his report card: 33% of games he was VERY good, 33% of games, he was average, 33% of games he was meh and 1% of games he was Joey Grahamesque

Delfino is one of the best rebounding guards in the league. I'm glad we have him on our team.

I like Delfino, always did and didn't know why until right now. He looks like one of the characters on the flinstones, my favorite show while growing up...I think it was the detective but I can't find proof online, maybe it was Hoagy Carmichael but I ain't sure...

On the Pistons, Delfino was irrelevant.

Does that make him bad? Not neccessarily.
