Would you give the green light?

Post#1 » by RHODEY » Wed Jan 9, 2008 9:20 pm

Zach randolph,Jared Jeffries and Mardy Collins to Houston for Tracey Mcgrady. Why do they do it because Tracey cannot play with Houstons Offense, why would we do it we have a certified scorer alongside Curry (whenever he wasn't on IR).

HELL NO! We need a SG/SF that plays defense and does not stay injured.

They'd have to send us Bonzi Wells and take QRich instead of Mardy or something....

Tracy failed with a better center, how could he succeed next to Curry? I'd rather not do this deal. Tracy makes 21 mill next year and 24 the year after.....hell no!

I would do this to rid myself of another bad attitude and then I would start my fire sale...

I would try to flip a few players, to include McGrady, for picks...

But remember his cousin VC in Jersey was always injured but the air in the tri state area helped him resurrect himself. Maybe it could do the same for his cousin.

Great Talent doesnt always mix well together and that shows here in NY we have good talent but it doesnt mesh well... Maybe T-mac needs to be Number 1, maybe he needs to be # 2 or #3.

This has to be a joke. Why wouldnt Knick fans want to do this?? We get rid of 3 useless players, 2 with longer, more horrible contracts then McGrady. I would make that deal for Joe Schmo (if he had the same contract as McGrady).

And Jeffries, Mardy and Randolph combine to make around $22 mill next year, $24 mill the year after and $24 the year after that

Of course we do this. I would probably dump Zack for expirings, and we get to add Jeffries and get Tmac back? No way thats happening.

Of course I would do this. Houston would never EVER. It's not even a question. We get rid of the last 2 years on Zach's contract....AND Jeffries? It's a no brainer. If you still want to rebuild, which I would....flip McGrady for expirings and picks....which is what Houston will do as opposed to taking on our garbage. Dumb question. This has no chance.

So what? Does this deal makes us much better? Tracy is injury prone, extremely overpaid, bad attutude. He would be as useless as Randolph and Jeffries combined, just another big name player for Isiah to make excuses. It just doesn't make sense, because he's just as big of a loser as our every other player.

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer my "dumb" question. You're a real class act.

Theres no way houston would do this. This might not make the knicks much better in the win loss column but it frees up a lot of money in 2 years. This would be a steal for us, and thats why itll never happen, Isiah only gets robbed, he doesnt steal.

Its a shorter contract. We would take $24 mill off our 2010/2011 cap.

Even if I have to drive the 3 to Houston myself. Heck, even if I have to carry them on my back to Houston.
