I'd say at the very least it's arguable that all 3 of those guys are better than Kidd right now, don't even think Billups is that much of an argument though, he's flat out better than Kidd at this point IMO.

Paul is 10 times the scorer Kidd is, just as good a passer, better at breaking down opposing d, and seems to be a better/more passionate leader. On d I'd put them about equal this season, even though in the past J Kidd has been one of the best defensive PGs in the game. Kidd can obviously out rebound Paul (or any other PG), but that doesn't make up for the scoring and leadership.

People love to rag on J Kidd because he's shooting 37% on what 10 FGA?? but people seem to forget that Baron takes twice as many shots and only shoots 41%.... He isn't the better passer, rebounder and on defense they're pretty comparable...

Deron Williams is naturally the better scorer but I dont see people on here criticize his stats when his team is playing .500 ball like they do J Kidd...

Chauncey Billups is no where near the play maker J Kidd is and is the worst passer out of the bunch so I really dont get the whole Billups > kidd EASILY argument...

I will admit that steve nash and Chris Paul have been significantly better than Kidd this year but the other 3 IMO aren't at his level..

Eh Paul doesn't have Kidd's strength and he can't really guard shooting guards or small forwards that's why I'd put Kidd ahead of Paul as a defender, Paul is much quicker though so it's easier for him to stay in front of point guards and play the passing lanes. And as for leadership wise... I'm not sure what I can say if you think that Kidd isn't a good leader or at least on the same level as Paul (I for one think Kidd is easily better in the leadership department)... Kidd isn't the one crying to the refs after every play, Charley Rosen (msn.foxsports.com/nba) had a good article about Paul before that sums up my criticisms of him.

Overall Paul's better than Kidd, but defense and leadership are two of the areas where he isn't.

*To be more accurate, I guess what I'm saying is tha defensively Paul is better at defending quicker players than Kidd. You'll never see Paul asked to guard Kobe or Joe Johnson or any premier wing player for prolonged periods of time (or at least never see him asked to do that AND have any success) like Kidd often is. Help defense is another area that's hard to measure but I'd give Kidd the edge in that category as well you can chalk most of the reason for that up to more experience though...

Chris Paul and IMO it's not that close.

Paul is leading the Hornets with a great record and with Chandler and Peja as the other options, in a much harder conference. Jason Kidd has his team at .500 with Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson.

Give me CP3.

Yeah, true. But what about that Stache Kidd is wearing? Man, I got to take some Kosta points off of him for that, just brutal.

On this day, I think Cp3 takes the cake easily. He is a difference maker on the floor and makes West look like an all star, the way Kidd used to do with guys like Kmart and vanHorn. Plus he can beat guys off the dribble better than Kidd can and can score at a very efficient clip. Paul has a much higher FG% than Kidd as well.
