I think most people underestimate not being able to watch your local team on TV. Hornets will be fine after they get the TV deal done. Anyways every time a big game sells out more ppl are finding out about CP3

What exactly was the deal with that? Not being able to watch your local major sports team in your local market in today's age just seems unfathomable. :crazy:

the lack of a TV deal is the #1 reason why their attendance sucks.

people don't realize that hardly any Louisiana residents can watch the Hornets on television. How is their target audience supposed to care when they can't watch them on TV like they can the Saints or LSU?

once that's settled they'll get a few more thousand a game.

This is general terms and not a specific city I am talking about.

Possibly, probably not. For one, Stern likely wouldn't take too kindly to him trying to move again. The relocation costs are determined at that point, I'm not really sure how much (if any) subsidizing would take place. I'm guessing that if Stern caught wind that city X would pay for city Y to leave, he'd adjust the relocation costs accordingly.

Regardless, he'd owe at least $62M to the local investor BEFORE any move takes place, or is even discussed really.

With the Nets moving to Brooklyn NJ has a arena for them (however the arena sucks ass beleive me). They would also have to compete with the Nets, Knicks and Sixers in the tri-state area. Justa possibility that I'm throwing out there.

The Sonics are moving to OKC so they may have a shot. Didn't Stern say that if the Sonics leave Seattle he would not bring another team there. So that might kill that idea all together. However I don't think anything with Stern is set in stone, especially if it's proven that the Hornets can generate money in Seattle.

Las Vegas is a destination that the NBA has been eyeing for quite a while. A team like the Hornets may be able to prosper in that area because it would be the only Pro team in that area. Downside is that it would have to compete with Vegas and in seasons that the team is not doing well I can see them having a problem. Lets say that you and your buddies or family are out in Vegas and the team is 7 - 31 would you pay the 25 - 30 bucks to see the team play or take a chance at the slots or the nearest all you can eat buffett.

St. Louis could be another possibility, don't know if the arena that hosts the Blues can host a NBA team also though.

Anaheim has the Honda Center and want's a NBA teeam.

NOrena SRO capacity is 18,500

as for seeing a team in Las Vegas, tourists wouldn't support it unless their "home" team happened to be playing there.

NFL would work better in Las Vegas IMO since more fans make trips to those games.
