and don't invite him. That was the dumbest d.c. ever, I wasn't even impressed by his dunks, and the fact they favored him because he is a midget.

Travis Outlaw should be there.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Yeah Robinson killed it with all those attempts the previous two years, even after he completed it, nothing made you go "Wow."

All star festivities has been a joke the past couple years really, the one I enjoy the most is the three point contest and that's not THAT exciting. Now if some more bigger names joined the dunk competition, then that'd be more fun to see.

They're the Knicks. I want you to just think about that for just one second. They're the Knicks.

........the knicks...

It's New York City.

Their filthy presence emblematic of all New York City basketball will mar the sanctity of All-Star weekend.

New York City is slimy pathetic garbage, and it just makes no sense to invite garbage inside All-Star weekend. Let those losers perish in the trash-bin known as New York City, and leave All-Star weekend to the real pros of basketball. New York City is such a lousy city.

Just as the New York Knicks were rightfully cast out of National TV for the national health of America, I'm glad that the NBA is taking notice of the inferiority of New York City and the Knicks by disowning these losers. I just wish this was the first step in dismantling the Knick franchise, because the New York fans don't deserve any basketball if this is what their city has to offer to the NBA, this abhorrent muck of a basketball team.

If Los Angeles is going without football, New York City should go without Basketball.

The Knicks are the ultimate disgrace of all sports. The ultimate laugh-out-loud joke. All that money spent for the worst, laziest team in the NBA, LOL!!!!

It is the spirit of New York City embodied, with "New York" emblazoned on their jerseys.

That's not baiting...

I've lived in NY on and off for the past 20 years and in my work I see first hand how people of diverse ethnicities are treated differently.

The NBA is still going with the 'no players over three years experience' rule, correct? Unfortunately, that would rule out Dwight Howard.

Gerald Green (as a returning champ) is a no-brainer, as is Jamario Moon...beyond being a great dunker, I would bet that the NBA would love the '27 year old rookie and former Globetrotter' storyline.

Filling out the field...Nick Young, perhaps? I believe he was a great dunker in college. Not sure what other kids could be included, though. And I'm all for leaving Nate Robinson out at all costs.

Naw, Young is alright, but nothing impressive, from watching him all season.

His 360 dunk in college (the youtube video) was awesome, but I haven't seen anything like that in his NBA career. In fact, he usually tries to do too much and ends up completely missing the dunk while embarrassing himself.

this thread should probably be locked before more knick fans find it. Personally i think NYC is overrated as far as what it means to america, but as far as sports is concerned boston is the most self serving market.

as previously stated, it's wide open for participants outside of green, moon, and howard. Maybe durant?

they gotta start getting the stars to do it again, like MJ, nique, VC, kobe... those were some of the sickest dunk contests... force king James, flash, matrix, etc to do it stern! for the dunk contests sake! ill still watch it, but its definitley lost some buzz as of late

If Nate Robinson is any indication, Young would have the inside track on victory based upon that description.
