AMEN. Nellie the very antithesis of Phil Jackson's zen approach to coaching----be like water, flowing with the situation....Nellie forces every action into his narrow perspective....maybe that's why Phils got rings and Nellie doesn't

Nellie has his artistry and he communicates, motivates, but he has his mental blocs that are big obstacles. As competitive as the NBA is,you can't let some pet dellusions/obsessions limit your efficiency and adaptability.

Jackson does adapt...though I'd say Popovich is even more gifted in that regard. The Spurs don't get the Luxury of lotto picks. Portland-tonight-shows the upside of playing the guys you thought were the ones to draft. The Blazers NOW are vastly better than last year--and Oden will be a big lift in the future. If they gave guys the DNP treatment...they'd be nowhere.

Monta's indifference on offense is killing me... he's the **** PG and he's giving the ball to Croshere and Barnes..

Couldn't agree more.
It's vital to give our future some valuable in-game experience.

portland is in clock kill mode already. if we leave the scrubs out there, injure a couple more blazers, and portland continues to not try to get a good shot then we have a chance at losing by only 7 or so!
