To Bell, Simmons, CV. (I know ur reading this Bell)

Post#1 » by BucksRuleAll22 » Thu Jan 10, 2008 7:56 am

Just wanted to praise the way you guys are playing right now.

As a fan I just wanted to say what bothers me is when a player keeps taking 18 ft jump shots and never makes them and just keeps on doing it. You should be taking it strong to the basket especially be doing this alot more if your shot is not falling. Good things happen when you take it strong to the hoop and don't settle for jumpers all game long. You can be the worst player in the NBA if you take it strong to the hoop good things will happen.

Look at Lebron, Wade, Jefferson, Carmelo and alot of other players that have a average jump shot at best and they are top scorers in the NBA bc they take it to the hoop and finish strong. I know you guys are diffrent players, but I bet you can out shoot the top scorers I just listed.

I can't speak for every Buck fan, but as long as you take it strong to the hoop you will always have my support as a fan if that means anything. All 3 of you guys throughout the season just settled for jump shots, and played ugly basketball. Anyway thats all I got to say.

Especially CV. He seems like he can be a beast if he moved his game in a little bit. Hit the weight room this summer, and bam - impact player.

those 3 do not realize that they are the heart of the team no matter how well bogut, Redd, Mo, and Yi do if those 3 are not committed to their roles this entire season is a disaster.

th87 Charlie is not a beast in any way shape or form. Many of you fans can't see striaght.

He is a 'once down the court tease' type player. he will make one play or one more or one shot that has you going, 'wow, now why can't he do that all the time?'

And then come back down and get 3 straight attempts blocked in his face or throw 4 balls away on weak moves to the hoop.

His jumper is like a YMCA player. Look how flat it is! You have to have to tell a Pro to put some arch on his jump shot!? You learn that in college!

Just a lazy player...

CV can score at will in the post if he puts his mind to it. Hes so gifted, and who cares how flat his 3pt shot is, he is a PF and should not be shoting 3 pointers at all. CV just has to take it strong to the hoop like all the Bucks players have been doing latley. Im not saying CV is gonna be a great player thats up to him and the effort he wants to give. The talent is there though.

Its nice Simmons is finally doing something. However he is shooting too much. A guy shooting just over 33% (12-31 in the last 3, and 21-50 in the last 5)in these games should not be getting 10 shots a game. Yeah i know they need to shoot themseleves out of a "slump". But hes been doing it the whole season and its not shown any signs of improvement. (Only Bell, Storey and Ivey have a worse percentage on the team.).The only thing he cant hit is hookers.

Yeah I don't want to pick too much at Mo's game lately or tonight, but Andrew was 7-9 at one point and now that I check that's where he finished the night too. 12-12 FT by Mo was beautiful, and maybe Andrew could've had a couple of those 10-22.

I would say "especially with the Heat frontcourt" but it's not like he goes harder to the rack, more of those flip shots just seem to go in.

Then again for what it's worth in honor of our hockey arena, tonight's plus/minus: Yi +21, Bobby +19, Ruffin +7, Mo +6... Bogut -1, CB -2, Ivey -6, CV -14 (in 15 minutes). Oh well, CV doesn't turn it over 4 times very often and everything worked out all right tonight.

21 of 50 is getting there though right? 42% isn't great but it's not awful. He's coming around.

Note - One of the best shooters in the league Michael Redd is shooting 44% this year. He shoots it a lot more yes, but you get my point.

Bobby shot so much last night because the coach wanted him too. We have no idea why, but he kept telling Bobby to shoot it.

Bobby`s game is improving, and there is still a ways to go. Once the shot starts falling his confidence will continue to grow. He is taking it to the hole more, which will continue.

Alot will be going on aginst the Lakers. The players are "just waiting" to see Redd mess up the chemistry that has beeen building each game. There is definitely a huge problem between the team players and Redd.
It will be intresting to see how this game is played.

I don't know what concerns me more - that there's this apparent serious divide between Redd and so many players on this team. Or the fact that so many players who have played so God-awful this season oppose the only player on the team who is even remotely an All-Star caliber player.

On topic, Bell's game has been very good of late and that's great to see. But I've been really happy with the energy I've seen from Simmons especially. If he can get anywhere close to the player he was in his last season with the Clippers or even his first season with the Bucks, this team will be better. He even had a dunk last night even though it didn't count because of a charge on Bogut.

But it was nice to see him get a little lift in his game. :D
Nothing will not break me.

Charlie Bell and CV have played better, because they are mixing up their game. I think all of us should forget what happened this summer with Bell.
Right now if he keeps playing this way he is a steal for what he is being paid. He is playing with energy and purpose. Love his game right now. Keep it up Mr Bell.
