Bosh?
The players he listed currently have higher ceilings than the ones you listed, most notably Oden and Durant.
no they dont. oden had micro fracture surgery. do people not understand how serious a surgery that is? and take into account by the time he plays an nba game it will be about 2 years since his last college game, so he will not be in game shape. oden might be able to be a stud center, but it wont be for a while atleast 3 years imo.
I think it will atleast take that much time to get the experience, and gethis strength and athletism back, and to be honest I dont think he will ever be as explosive as he was. I just can not see it after that type of surgry.
I hope Im wrong cuz I love this trend of young TRUE centers coming into the league with yao, bynum, and oden. dwight is better as a center then the guys I listed. but I dont know if I consider him a true "back to the basket" center. but the guy is IMO the best big man in the game with out a dought.

I agree the team is on a hot streak but people have been saying that exact thing for weeks now .. stuff like the Blazers will come back to earth and stuff. The thing is the team just keeps on winning despite what people predict. I think it has gotten to a point where people need to concede that this team is not as bad as some people originally thought. Don't get me wrong I do think things will get tougher but there is no indication the Blazers won't rise to the challenge .. win or lose they will fight for every game.

of course raptors fans say they dont make the playoffs, why do peope keep doubting the blazers, i mean they gotta turn the corner and become a good team sometime, why cant this success be them finally turning the page and are back to making the playoffs 21 years in a row. thats what happens in the nba, teams go through rebuilding and thats what they have been doin the past 4 years now they have a good team thats ready to make a run at the playoffs, they wont win in the playoffs but i have no doubts that they will make it
they have a 7 game east coast trip starting on sunday in toronto. if they can go 5-2 or 4-3 on that trip it will be considered succesfull and probably get them into the playoffs if they continue to play good at home.
And everyone says portland is a horrible road team because they are 5-10 on the road, but in there last 6 road games they are..........................................5-1. that right there should put those bad road team comments to sleep at least for the time being. wait till after there road trip than make ur assesment.

I'm a blazer fan and I agree that a few other blazer fans are getting carried away in some of the general threads. I wouldn't quite assign them to the level of some of the toronto threads though...

Anyway, it's been a great run for Portland...winning 17 out of 18 games...but 12 of those 18 games were played in portland. And the one loss was on the road. Sunday morning Portland begins a very difficult 7 game road trip in Toronto. In a couple of weeks, it will be a little more evident just how good portland truly is this season.

Jesus . . my original point was that Oden and Durant have more room to improve than Lebron, Bosh etc. unless you people honestly forsee Lebron eventually averaging 45 and 15 or something. But yeah, I know, it's ridiculous to think that landing 2 of the best draft prospects the NBA's seen in a long time might strengthen the western conference . . . [/quote]
