Yeah it looked good, Bosh had some room to operate. To often this year the other Raps make it too easy for them to double Bosh by hanging around too close to him.

The ball was moving a lot better yesterday. They were swinging the ball to the corners to AP, and he was able to hit the threes. Jose had three triples when Bosh passed out to him, after Jose's man was cheating towards Bosh. I wonder, why we haven't used this play much this year, since it worked so well last year.

Unless you have a stat that shows that the Raptors are the least effective team in the NBA when it comes to executing 1-Up Reverse Lay-ups .... RealGM doesn't want to hear about it.

In fairness the sixers' rotations were terrible. They did a good job on the help but their resets looked completely out of sorts. AP had tonnes of open looks.

What I noticed in the stands was that on some of these ISO's Sam was frantically ordering players to particular spots to set up the right weak-side spacing. That suggests to me that this wasn't something the team was practising regularly.

I think the Raptors in general kept it simpler on offense too. I.E, good shot? Take the shot-- don't swing it around 10 more times in hopes of the most optimal play that often wont even come to fruition. Reminded me of this clip of Sam before his COY year where he's yelling at someone to just take the damn shot if it presents itself.

AP being on absolute fire didn't hurt either.

I saw this too!!!! This is the best thing that could have happened to the Raptors...Last year we played our best basketball when we ran this offence.

Park bosh down low, and the 4 other players around the 3 point line. Throw the ball down low to Bosh, have him attack if hes one on one. Or if he is doubled have him toss the ball to the open player. They swing the ball = open shot.

If the defence recovers well, all it usually takes is a pump fake and it will open up a quick step and shot, or drive to the rim depending on the player.

This is something we all talked about when we aquired Kapono last year. Parking Kapono, Bargs and Parker around the perimeter is just effin deadly.

And Bosh can take just about anyone one on one...

Sam instituted a bunch of new looks/sets during our recent road trip, but only in the past week have they been able to practice them seriously.

Hopefully we'll see the fruits of this change over the next month.
