OT: Sleazy ESPN Anchors

Post#1 » by W. Unseld » Tue Jan 8, 2008 9:50 pm

Sean Salisbury is a complete and total freak:

http://www.nypost.com/seven/01012008/go ... 983946.htm

"Then there's Salisbury, who holds the No. 3 spot on Leitch's list of "Ten Most Loathsome ESPN Personalities." He writes, "This blustery, mentally deformed NFL analyst reportedly took a picture of his penis and sent it out to female colleagues encouraging them to meet 'Lil Sean.' " After the incident, Salisbury "was suspended by the network" for one week but "has never publicly denied the incident."

That's why Salisbury has to do penance by subbing for Mike and Mike on the holidays (I guess as "Sean and Lil Sean").

This stuff generally only gets reported in the Murdoch-owned media like the NY Post, and FSR to some extent.

Mike Tirico has done a fair amount of sexual harassment in his time at ESPN.

Geez, I once had a job just a few years back where I worked with five women who were all between 21 and 25 and not a one of them was unattractive. In particular, it was just me and my 23 year-old "boss" (while in grad school I worked with teens and didn't want to supervise). It just so happened my "boss" was hot and she wore see through dresses with no slip. We worked very closely and often it was just she and I in close quarters.

Let me stop to say that I'm no Sean Salisbury but that job kept me titillated.

Like Jimmy Carter I did some lusting in my heart and then some.

It's really difficult to work with women who don't hesitate to squeeze your shoulders, or who'll come up to you and massage your back or neck -- but you have to stop short of grabbing them for fear of being accused of harassment. Oh yeah, and for fear of messing up before God and dishonoring your vows ...

They can grab you, say anything ,wear darn near anything, brush up against you; but the instant you take the bait you're in trouble.

Wow, that was a revealing rant, no?

Figures, ESPN anchors totally look like douchebags and **** anyway.

Agreed with CCJ though. I wish I had a cubicle for an office so I can hide my uhm...reactions but I don't. It makes it really hard to concentrate on work...especially during the summer.

Don't beat yourself up, JW.

I'm just an old dog who's gotten to know the Father much better (and lately, I might add).

Back in the day when I was in my 20s or 30s in the same situation it would have been on. "Whoop there it is." I would have taken the bait if they'd have set it out there then like they do now!

But when you get older, and learn what I've learned, you see things different (I do anyway) ...

At some level I think women just like an older man better.

Either it's they're looking for a father figure, or they think you have money, or it's the confident way you look right through them and let them know you can handle yourself and leave them smiling--whatever it is women don't play too hard to get with us old dogs.

We're running from them (and you will too if you're blessed enough to get old. That or you'll be a smiling old fool! Hef Jr., I guess.)

The way I see it, I don't want to have to put it down real strong EVERY TIME or pay too much just to be with girls young enough to be my daughter. Even the ones that will give you money and treat you with respect are just looking for love their daddy didn't give them. Nope, I prefer being with my middle-aged wife.

I might flirt a little with the young girls just because, but when it comes down to getting with them, I just play crazy or tell them I'm too old for them. I'll invite them to church. Some young guy there might need a hook up! Err, I mean the Lord will provide for them better than any man can. Seek first the kingdom and its righteousness and all else will be added. Yeah, that's what I should have said first ... ;)

Any how JWiz, I think I just fear the Lord more than I'm so good at heart. I fear him, STDs, unplanned pregnancies, divorce court, child support, and MOST OF ALL my own guilt.

You'll learn, JW, and hopefully not the hard way like I did.

Add Dana Jacobson to the list. At a Mike and Mike roast, she said the following:

f... Notre dame"
"f....touchdown Jesus"
and - the step-aside-because-lightning-is-about-to-strike... "f.... Jesus."

She was drunk obviously, and she was suspended for 1 week.

I find it funny they are keeping Dana Jacobson far away from the Super Bowl.
