Iguodala

Post#1 » by flying piranha » Thu Jan 10, 2008 7:27 pm

I like his game. Would he be a good fit with our current squad? Any idea what it would take to pry him out of the sinking ship in Philly? He seems like he'd add a critical, agressive piece to the mix. Today's article isn't the first indicating he's unhappy. Could we get him for Gadz, Simmons and ?
Not sure of his salary etc

First off, no way he goes anywhere for any package of Gadz and Simmons.

Philly wants Yi, badly. I could see them moving Iggy if we gave them Yi.

There's an argument to be made that that could move could help us greatly right now.

Yeah a deal with them would start and end with Yi. I dont know if I'm willing to do that.

I think it's quite interesting that the Sixers dealt Iverson in large part because they wanted to build around Iguodala and now they may have to move on to Plan B.

That's very interesting in my opinion.

Assuming the Sixers do decide they'd consider trading him, I'd offer Villanueva and next year's first (Top 5 protected). I doubt they go for it, but it's worth a shot.

Would we be willing to package a 1st round pick? If we could get him and keep our core, I think we'd start to have a team that could grow and really challenge in the east. What is he, 25 / 26?

I'd do Yi for Iguodala in a heartbeat.

I'd doubt it. Everything I've heard and read indicates they're looking to shed salary. And given how they're nowhere close to being a contender, I don't see why they'd want to trade for Redd.

I still think Villanueva/2008 first could get their attention if they really want to trade Iguodala. I'm not sure they'll decide to make him available. I'd guess they'd rather deal Miller and Dalembert.

milwaukee will NEVER trade yi....even if he turns out to be terrible, some people seem to forget he was very much a financial pick by the team....we have one of the lowest revenues in the league, and getting the chance to have a few million fans in china is something the bucks will never give up willingly

there are more chinese bucks fans than american bucks fans....what kind of team wants to cut their fanbase in half?

now this is the type of move I am talking about...iggy would be sick in a bucks uni. I would think we could give them some sort of offer like:
mo williams, charlie villanueva charlie bell bobby and our draft pick

for

andre miller and iggy

try everythin possible that does not include Yi, bogut or redd

I wouldn't say they'd never trade Yi but I think the chances of him being traded anytime soon are only slightly better than the chances of me having a 3some with Jessica Biel and Lacey Chabert tonight.

Wondering what Iguodala's contract is like - has he been resigned to a large deal yet?

I would do Yi for Iggy with no hesitation.

The guy is a stud defender. I shouldn't need to go into what type of player he is.

Mo
Redd
Iggy
CV
Bogut

Only in my dreams though.

found a trade that works in trade checker and I think for both teams. I am not sure if Philly will want to get back more or not but I think this would be a reasonable offer

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=1022~2512~2792~2178~1828~2386~557&teams=20~20~20~20~15~15~15&te=&cash=

Andre Miller
Reggie Evans
Andre Iguodala

for

Mo Williams
Charlie Villanueva
Bobby Simmons
Awvee Story
2008 1st round pick (top 5 protected) or 2009 1st (no protection)

if the deal breaker was the protection, I would take it off in a hurry

Philly gets back some young talented players to add to their young core and are also able to add another high 1st round pick in the draft. If philly is rebuilding, picks are always nice to add to the bunch

philly
pg Lou Williams/ Kevin Ollie
sg Mo Williams/ Willie Green/ Gordon Giricek
sf Thaddeus Young/ Bobby Smmons/ Rodney Carney
pf Charlie Villanueva/ Jason Smith
c Sam Dalembert/ Shavlik Randolph
- 2 1st round picks in this next draft

milwaukee
pg Andre Miller/ Royal Ivey/ Ramon Sessions
sg Michael Redd/ Charlie Bell/ David Noel
sf Andre Iguodala/ Desmond Mason/
pf Yi Jianlian/ Reggie Evans/ Michael Ruffin
c Andrew Bogut/ Dan Gadzuric/ Jake Voshkul

Dala hasnt been resigned yet; however he did turn down a 53 mll dollar deal (even tho no eam wll offer him more than that) Some people in Philly have been down on Dre lately bc hes been whining and turning he ball over at a hi rate.

Philly was interested in Yi when Billy King was running the show, but now that they have a new GM, he may not be interested in him.

I'm not as big a fan of AI as some, but it'd be an interesting experiment to put him and Redd, two "not #1" guys, together depending on what we had to give up. But all you guys supporting this have to lay off when it's still the same old Bucks.

Edit: on the other hand, trading this not-#1 guy for that one would sound like a pretty lateral move to me too

Iguodala for Yi works for both teams. 76ers are in need of a PF badly. Bucks need a 3 bad. Works out good

Don't see the Bucks trading Yi. I think he's as close to untouchable as this team has - even more than Redd or Bogut.

What about my offer of Villanueva/2008 first (Top 5 protected) for Iggy? Think the Sixers might bite on that?
