The only way Shaq comes to Dallas is if Miami decides it wants to get out from under Shaqs giant contract and Mark Cuban decides that he is willing to take that huge hit.

If Miami gives up on this team and decides to retool and build a new team around Wade then the best way to do that is to get under the cap and sign someone good and young to team with D-Wade. If that was the case then an expiring resigned KVH contract and Diop would be the best that Miami could hope for.

The idea that there are many teams that would be willing to take on Shaq's ridiculous contract and give up some great draft picks and/or young players is silly.

Any Mavs deal is also very unlikely because Shaq's contract is so bad but Cuban is unpredictable so you never say never.

If Seattle is able to get 2 1st round picks for an expiring Kurt Thomas, the LEAST Miami can do is Diop + KVH for Shaq and Miami 2010 1st.

Uhhh. No way. Not trading a 1st that far in the future just to dump Shaq. Seattle got picks because Phoenix was trading them a vet that didn't fit into their rebuilding plan and di nothing for them. Dallas is a win-now team, meaning they'd be getting someone that actually fits what they're doing...

But you forget that Shaq gets paid more than 6 times what Kurt gets paid and about twice as much as he is worth (4x with lux tax) THIS year and becomes more detramental the next two years. We are also set at center and Shaq is just an unneeded luxuary that will always be on the injured and/or motivational speaker list.

If you want us to smuther ourselves in tax money while making you the free agent target of the summer, a 1st 3 drafts way is the LEAST you can do.

Personally, I hope you are stuck with Shaq the next three years.

Terrible terrible terrible trade for the Mavs... What bench would we have after that? Juwan? No thanks.

Keith Van Horn for Shaq straight up. Perhaps with a pick. That's just fine on both side. The Mavs take salary for a dominant big man who still have something left. The Heat gets some much needed cap relief. This works better for both sides.

No. We'd need Diop or Bass.

Then we both agree...no deal! You are stuck with Shaq unless you can work something out with New York.
