Again, it really depends on what you mean by "running the show". Last night Hedo running the show resulted in a lot of great shots for Howard and others. At the end of the game, Rashard and Jameer got wide open looks. Hedo gets the ball to Dwight more than anyone else with the possible exception of Jameer.

i am not just judging it based on last night. however watching games it is pretty obvious dwight has not been involved on offense like he was earlier in the season. dwight is by far the most efficient scorer on this team. he deserves to be more involved on offense. i really don't care if it is just feeding him the ball in the post or by running more pick n rolls or by driving and throwing it up in the air for him to go get it. dwight could easily score around 25 ppg if he was used more effectively. it just seems we would rather settle with hedo doing everything than getting howard or rashard opportunities

i am not concerned about dwights numbers. but he should be scoring more. watch a game and you will see how many times we overlook him on offense. how many times he gets those stupid 3 second calls because he has deep position and we just ignore him. we go minutes without him touching the ball on offense. we need to look more for him in all aspects on offense. last night there were numerous times an easy dish to howard would of been a dunk but instead we pass it out for a three. dwight scoring 22 points off 13 shots is amazing. i find it ridiculous that someone like Kaman attempts more shots a game than howard. you are obviously a big hedo fan or something but howard is the key to orlandos success and title hopes in the future. in november when we were actually playing well dwight was getting more shot attempts thus getting more ppg too. his number of so called "easy" scoring opportunities have gone down because we don't look for him when we drive to the basket as much. like SVG said some people are more concerned with their numbers and not the team and winning.

i dunno i just think howard needs more touches and that this team becomes to reliant on hedo, for bad or good. let rashard and dwight get their turns. howard takes the least amount of shot attempts of the top 40 scorers. do you not find that odd? i believe he could be used much more effectively on offense. everyone needs to look for him more including hedo. maybe howard isn't as agressive as he was earlier in the season but i also see him fighting for deep post position but never rewarded for it by his teammates. and i don't mind hedo being the closer, even though i have my doubts about it come playoff time, hope i am wrong.

I'm not debating the points but:

Dwight, iirc, also leads the league in FTA. If he's hacked and misses the shot, that doesn't register as a FGA.

yeah i know he does. but it is still obvious he doesn't get enough shots. after our hot start or after november howard is only getting 12 shots a game. before he was getting 14 shots game. and his free throw attempts have only increased by one extra. maybe it is howards lack of aggression or maybe we are not looking for him like we were. regardless he should be taking around 14 shots a game like he was in the beginning of the season.

i know howard gets to the line and they don't count as FGA. but back in november when we were playing well howard was getting similar FTA as now, however, he was getting a couple more FGA too. i know howard works hard to get position and it requires lots of energy. i am not saying to run the ball through him every play but just give him a few more opportunities. for example he has only take over 14FGA 4 times in the last 19 games, or since the end of november. in the first 18 games of the season he shot over 14FGA 9 times and averaged 14 FGA the first 18 games. a lot of people care about dwight howard not getting enough touches. even SVG has commented on us not getting howard involved enough. at times our team continues to jack shots up when it is apparent they are not going in. common sense would tell you to give howard the ball if things are not going well on the perimeter but we continue to chuck them, everyone is guilty of this including rashard and hedo.

1. since 14 fga's seem to be the magical number, what is the win/loss number with respect to dwight's over and under that magical number?
2. fga by itself does not show exactly how many possessions went through a player.
3. fta/2 + fga, contrary to popular opinion, is not enough either.
4. the turnovers also have to taken into account.
5. of course, in dwight's case, the to number has to be analyzed as he is also causing 3 second violations.
6. in the games though, this can be said: whenever the magic start going to dwight exclusively, the rest of the players start sucking.
7. consider ball movement as blood running through veins, the players as vital organs and the team as a living organism.
8. if the blood gets stuck somewhere, the rest of the organs deteriorate.
9. by the way, might be a funny exercise to match each player to an organ.

I couldn't watch Wednesday's game because it was on FSN, but it sounded like they were getting up and down the court really well in the first quarter. I think one of the differences in the past month has been that the players haven't been getting back down to their end of the court as quickly so by the time the ball and/or Dwight gets there, the defense already is set up. That makes it more difficult for the other players to feed him the ball and for him to get up a shot.

Actually, I figured that when he got T'd up. He got T'd up the night before, too.

But if that bothers you, you'd better turn down the volume on that Nuggets game tonight because I watched Denver's game the other night, and it was pretty much a steady stream of profanity coming out of their mouths, and their court was miked pretty loud, too, so you could hear them all clear as day.

I think in the long run they will find that if they rely on just one person -- no matter which of them it is -- he will not be successful because the Magic will be too predictable. I thought Hedo did a fine job against the Clippers.

Kaman rededicated himself back in the offseason after having that bad season from the last one.

Yes, he spent much of last season suffering because people were giving him a hard time after he signed a big contract and then didn't produce more last season. He is a good player, though. He isn't the second-leading rebounder in the NBA because he doesn't hustle out there.
