Chris Bosh rebound, blocks and steals way more than Zach Randolph...he's a franchise player...Zach Randolf is a soft piece..He's a blacwhole on offense who plays no D...not to mention he's incredibly selfish (like all your players, coach/GM and owner)..

Yao Ming gets stuffed by guys way smaller than him...Gasol gets pushed around way too much and is afraid of contatct...

dont even mention CB4 in the same sentence as any of your garbage knicks players please

I really do not think Bargnani is the softest player in the NBA right now.

But out of those players on your list then Bargnani is most likely the softest out of them, but not out of the whole NBA....

As a Mav fan I have to admit Dirk was a little soft in his younger days. But not anymore. The guy got his front teeth knocked out once for driving the lane.

Guys who are soft to me are guys who REFUSE to drive and instead jack up shots so they don't get hurt. But they also have to have the ability to do so, because they may just be too slow.

My pick would have to be Okur of Utah. For a big man he doesn't go inside. Ever. Its like he's afraid of the rim.

Bosh isn't soft. He's just small at 215 pounds. You can't say he's soft just because he can't push 250 pound centers around. I've seen Bosh go full bore at bigger players and draw fouls. That's not soft.

My vote for the toughest would have to be Iverson. Also the most durable.

But your comparison does not always work. Bill Laimbeer rarley ever went to the basket, rarely ever posted up and scored nearly all of his points from 15' and out. Yet he was one of toughest bastards to play the game. Charles Oakley was also a guy who liked to shoot and never attacked the rim, though he was not as good a player as Laimbeer- He was also one of the toughest SOB's to play the game.

I must say the definitions of soft displayed in this thread by many are comical.

just because a guy gets rebounds or FT Attempts doesnt mean he isnt soft. Dirk is soft, Blount is soft, Earl Barron might be the softest player in the league but no one has ever seen him play .

honestly though when I think of a soft player the FIRST player that comes to mind every time is DIRK.

I just cant get over how UD and Pose pushed him around in the 06 Finals.

Dirk can win a title as the 2nd guy, but never as the marquee player.

Ima go with Brian Cook. A jumpshooting big man who avoids contact like the plague and does absolutely nothing else on the court? Sounds like Cook to me. Pat Garrity is a close second.

Lots of guys fill this role but Cook seems the most obvious answer.
