It didn't have to be real for society as a whole to become ever so slightly more aware that some people do some weird things sexually. Then you start to think of how many celebrities, politicians, etc have been exposed or connected to prostitution and that too becomes less extreme. Charlie Sheen, Hugh Grant, lots and lots... and what it is usually chalked up to is that they were either looking for something they weren't getting at home and that it was better than forcing husbands, wives etc into doing things they weren't comfortable with, it was better to find it somewhere else.
How many of you are aware that prostitution is completely legal here in Canada? It's only some of the activity surrounding prostitution that is illegal, in efforts to keep the streets appear clean, so to speak.
For some celebrities it might be the whole thing of, "I've already tried it all, I need something different." I don't get how people can get tired of too many women, but Eddie Murphy was a good example of that.
Well, escort services are a grey area of the law. You're just paying for their time, or paying to meet them - which is not unlike a dating service. And what happens between two consenting adults is not illegal. Of course, everyone knows what escorts are all about... but yeah.
How is prostitution legal here otherwise?
