LA would never ever trade Kobe for Iggy thats not going to happen. Kobe is the best scorer in the NBA and is a franchise player.
The Toronto offer is wayyyyyyyy too onesided for the Raps Bargnani's value is at a all time low now and I don't see the need for Bargnani there even though he would pair up nice with Dalembert. A first from us would also be pretty low since Igoudala would make Toronto one hell of a complete team with a depth chart of
PG: Ford/Calderon/whatever
SG: Parker/Delfino/Green
SF: Igoudala/Kopono/Graham
PF: Moon/Humphries/Baston
C: Bosh/Evans/Humphries
^^^^^^^^looks pretty deep to me all we would need is a decient big man this offseason via trade or freen agent signing

Nope. You're getting two young guys who could start on your team (PERFECT fits, practically), salary relief in the Harpring/Evans swap, and a pick. That's as far as we go.
We're not adding in a core guy in an S&T, and I doubt most other teams will either. (I know other Jazz fans don't think highly of Okur, but we can't trade him without getting a starting C back either way.)

Nobody but Atlanta (and Philly) will be under the cap this offseason so nobody will be able to offer more than the MLE. Iggy's only leverage is to threaten to play his final season for the qualifying offer. And that's a pretty empty threat.
Let's say Philly is willing to start him at $8M for 6 years with 10.5% raises. That's 6-years, $60.6M. For it to make sense for him to turn down that offer, he'll have play for the qualifying offer (missing out on $4.2M in the process) and then hope that another team offers him a 5-year deal starting at $10.0M with 8.5% raises. That's a pretty big gamble considering that Summer 2009 boasts a lot of other good free agents. He'll also have to factor the risk of injury or a bad year ruining his value.
If I'm Philly's GM, I offer the 6-year $60M deal. It's a generous and fair offer. I'd tell him to take it or leave it. I wouldn't work out a sign and trade.
I know none of us will ever know, but I bet he turned down an offer better than that at the beginning of the season.
Look guys, Iguodala is a very good player, but when he gets his eight-digit paycheck, he'll be paid like it too, and his trade value reduces. Further, he's plays a position where most teams already have a good (and often well-paid) swingman. This crowded market and the price tag reduce what PHI's going to get for him -- PLUS he can walk later and he loses them for nothing (and you get a year where he unloads his frustrations on his teammates).
In my opinion, these offers overvalue what the market will do.

Fine, I up my offer to this:
Andrea Bargnani
Kris Humphries
Jose Calderon (after being re-signed for about the MLE)
Jorge Garbajosa (expiring)
Anthony Parker (expiring)
2008 1st Rounder (lotto protected)
2010 1st Rounder (lotto protected)
for
Reggie Evans
Andre Iguodala
Willie Green
Andre Miller
Not sure how much better this is for Philly, but Miller will be 33 next season, and although he's expiring, Caldreon will be 5 years younger, and if locked up to a reasonable amount a great piece to build aroudn for Philly. They also add another 1st to the deal, and instead of Rasho, they get a half-decent vet swingman in AP, who shoots a very high % from 3 and brings experience. He's expiring anyways, so it doesn't really matter. Kris Humphries plays a lessened version of Reggie Evans, and he's locked up for a while, at a cheap amount.
For the Raptors, Andre Miller (even at 33) would be a solid back up to TJ Ford, and it doesn't really ruin the tandem that badly. Iggy obviously solidifies the future, and the rest are players they'd have to take on, although they truly aren't that bad. From the Raptors perspective:
Rasho/Baston/2nd Rounder
Bosh/Evans
Moon/Kapono/Graham
Iguodala/Delfino/Green
Ford/Miller
That's just sick.
Too bad I'm about to get eaten alive by Philly fans

If a teams free agent is signed & traded, I think there's a two, or three day period where that player is NOT considered an immediate base-year player. So that complecation wouldn't exist in a trade. At least this is what I think is the rule. If Iggy re-signed, and then was dealt a month later, then the BYC applies. But either way, he won't be traded. Even if he demanded it, he won't. And he will never accept the QO for next year cause he would be losing around 6 to 7 million dollars, with no guarantee that any team in the 2009 free agent market could offer him more than say the 55 million that Philly might offer him after this season. Iggy is really in a no-win situation here. He has to accept whatever Philly tosses him, or accept the fact that if he does leave after next year, he will be taking around 15-20 million less. And no player is going to do that.

well that is because alot of people see Andre as another Ron Harper, unlike sixer fans who see him as another Pippen.
yeah us and just about every other knowledgeable NBA analyst or fan. And the people that think he is another Ron Harper are folks like urself who are probably profoundly and blindly in love with your own superstar from your favorite team.
Lakers fans think Kobe is a better person than Jesus
Bulls fans think Luol Deng is going to save the world
and Knicks fans think David Lee does everyone garbage, not just the knicks'.
its natural buddy. it doesn't matter what we think here because its obviously totally different than its real life counterpart. Just look at the Iverson, Caron Butler and Ariza trades.

It wouldn't surprise me if he already turned down a similar deal. His agent is playing hardball. It makes sense to at least make Philly's ownership sweat a bit and see if they come back with a better offer.
But ultimately, Iggy has little choice but to accept the offer. It would be foolish to walk away from that deal and risk injury, only to gamble that someone else will throw $10M a year at him next summer. I think Iggy will blink first.
Maybe Philly throws him a bone and offers a deal starting at $9M a year. That's more than what Butler and Josh Howard got.
