The only year that those 4 were on Lakers together, Lakers did not win title

The 3 amigos will be around together for at least 3 years (at a cost of over $100 million over that time). They better win at least one title or their fans will be real upset

(i thought i took a wrong turn & ended up on the lakers or celtics board)

we'll just have to wait and see.

personally, couldn't be happier with the league having so many elites teams. Though I don't feel as if Boston deseves to be a contender after tanking last year, DET-BOS games provide some REAL QUALITY basketball.

I agree that Detroit is still the team. I have a bit of concern over the way the Celts are playing their big 3. Ray Allen is already out with a small injury, but these guys are getting close to the end of their careers. If the Celts play to have the best regular season record, then they won't beat Detroit who are playing alot of their bench so they can save their main guys for the playoffs.

There's two benefits to the way Detroit is runnnig their team. The first I just stated, they save their best players and don't burn them out in the regular season. The other benefit is the bench plays more minutes and builds chemistry and confidence. So when they are called on, the can contribute. The Celts bench is still suspect in my mind.
