Mcgrady and Kobe will be voted in as starters. Kobe deserves it and Mcgrady has China backing him up. Nash and Paul will grab 2 reserve spots. And then Iverson will be competiting with the likes of Roy, Parker, D. Williams for a final spot if there is one. It's very possible Iverson doesn't make it at all. But who cares, I doubt Iverson does either.

Edit: Do most people here even watch the All Star Game? I know I haven't seen it at least the last 3-4 years. I just stick to the skills challenge, 3 point shooting contest, and dunk contest. Those are much more entertaining.

I watch the whole weekend every year, but this year I'm going to be away, so I guess I'll be missing it.

And yeah, there is really a boat load of competition out in the west for guards. McGrady really shouldn't be in, so that is gonna screw a deserving player out of a spot.

And you can also throw Baron Davis in the mix. He's playing some of his best ball ever. He'd probably be a perennial all-star if he didn't struggle so much with injuries.

The only events that I've really watched the last few years of All Star Weekend are the Dunk Contest and the Celebrity Game.

The only highlights I remember from one of the last few All Star games was when Arenas & McGrady were shooting threes from like halfcourt.

I think most of the Iverson fans left to the Denver forum or so it seems from the booming activity in this thread.

Tough call to get AI as a starter in the West. Kobe is the best SG, and I'd put Deron Williams in over AI as a PG, yet he probably isn't even the best PG in the West. AI will be on the roster, but probably doesn't get the start.
