Centre Court wrote:Just to clarify, its the Sun saying Ford could be out another 4 or 5 weeks and that's not a direct quote from the Raptors.

Who knows? Maybe he returns sooner.

Either way, it doesn't bother me. I think that rushing a player back early usually results in bigger problems down the road.

+1 There was no quote he was just trying to justify his article on the Raptors looking for a new guard. One would think that id there was anything to substantiate this it would be fairly big news and other media outlets would be all over it. A return date makes headlines.

Ford has been in and out of the lineup for the 1st month of the season. He's wisely stated that he wants' his next return to last for the remainder of the season.
Don't kid yourself, there is a path laid ouit to Ford by the team and doctors that will help him accomplish this. Getting him back by mid Feb, playing top Ball by mid March and hitting fullstride by playoffs. That's all that matters and this team is more than capable of remaining a few games above .500 untill his return. January is an easy month that should see this team get 3 to 4 games above .500. February is a very difficult month and having TJ back for half of it will be very important.

But as stated already, it's his mind that needs the most preperation in his return, not his body
