Greg Buckner

Post#1 » by DrewDawg0808 » Fri Jan 11, 2008 2:52 pm

from si.com
With the NBA trade deadline Feb. 21, Minnesota swingman Greg Buckner doesn't plan to ask for a trade. But if one happens, he won't complain. It's not out of the question the Nuggets could show interest in Buckner, whose time has been cut recently as the lowly Timberwolves have sought to go more with young players.

George absolutely LOVES Buckner. He'd trade J.R. for him right now if the front office allowed him to.

No Buckner, he is overrated on Defense, and his shot is just as streaky as anybody we have on the bench.

I get shivers when I think about Buckner against the Clippers in the playoffs. I'd say no to Buckner. He fouls way too much. We've got Khouba now, who I think is a much better defender.

If they trade anybody for buckner, it would be a huge downgrade, even von wafer.

I'd only do it if we can grab Reuben Patterson at the same time.

if minny cut him, picking him up for the minimum would be solid, but he isnt good enough to give anyone up for.

Not with Karl as the coach, Buckner will be out there throwing up bricks and getting worked on defense for a good 35 minutes a game.
