Have you been under a rock for the past couple of months? The American dollar has been getting pounded so hard that compared to the Euro, it's starting to look like a Peso.
And so that you understand, he's talking about the numbers he's putting up as a starter since TJ Ford has been hurt.

The one that I'm getting most tired of reading the responses to is Andre Miller to the Heat, especially since it's become clear that Miller isn't going to be enough to fix them, but more generally, I'm getting irritated with Sixers/other team that's rebuilding trades. Every once in a blue moon something makes sense, but teams that are in the same boat simply aren't good matches, 9 times out of 10.

Because people can't think for themselves and instead rely on cliche, somehow subconsciously thinking that that's the cool/funny thing to say?

To be fair, most teams made bad offers for KG, but I've never heard a SAC fan make the claim Artest had the same trade value as KG.
I think the point is David Lee AND the Knicks uprotected 1st rounder PLUS taking Kenny Thomas for a half season rental on Artest is unrealistic and I think most everyone but way too many Kings fans (not all of them) realize that. And to top it off, that is just the "starting point" (just ask Smills, he'll confirm it cause he says it just about every time it's mentioned) forget about being enough.
However, I remember two seperate Knicks fans post here that they wouldn't trade Channing Frye for Kevin Garnett straight up, so we should probably all lay off the group insinuations.
And that was how many years ago? Heck, I remember Wolves fans thinking that people would trade expiring contracts for Marko Jaric. Fans of EVERY team overrate but as has been said, other than shagadelic (who's not even a Knick fan) proposing crazy 80 player 6 team trades usually involving the Knicks there's hardly a rash of crazy trades involving the Knicks.

Just as bad as trying to move Miller to the Knicks for lottery picks and young players when by the time the Knicks might remotely become a playoff caliber team Miller will be pass his prime.

Believe me, in reality the Knicks are definately the most brought up team on these boards. Shagedelic makes the worst trades in the history of mankind much to my chagrin he seems to be addicted to making massive Knick trades.
Yeah but more often than not the only reason they're brought up is to be a conduit to take bad contracts and give up their young players so that other teams can get what they want.

So much for laying off the fanbase assassination, huh?
Incidently, how about laying off the individual poster, and discussing improving individual trades?

Laying off which individual poster? Smills91? He's been the only poster I've been harping on. shagadelic is shagadelic and I know he doesn't take anything personal.
As far discussing improving trades, you know, once upon a time that's all I did. Seems like I've gone away from that. So that I apologize for.

Kenny Thomas.. major negative but some people refuse to aknowledge this.
76ers.. a mediocre team full of untouchables.
Kings.. bad contracts, players past their prime and last but not least a nutcase.
Athletic swingmen with potential who haven't proved squat and there is a good chance they never will.
That is about it.
I get everything but the call on Calderon. The guy is your new favorite pg if he's on your team. Have you checked the stats? The efficiency? 9:1 assists to turnovers? Yeah, he's definitely a backup..... as in you backup and check yourself

His comment on Calderon was facetious...he's tired of seeing Calderon being underpriced by OTHER teams who call him "just a backup".
(To be fair, that comment was facetious while all the others were 'straight', so it's kind of hard to tell.)

Yeah, not too well done on my part. It's the only one I put the exclamation on though and I thought people might have clicked since the majority of trades made by outsiders don't give up much because "he's a backup point guard". On the flipside though you have Raptors expecting to get Arenas lol

Chicago is not trading Ben Wallace because what team wants to pay 28 million over two years to an overrated defender and rebounder who gives effort here or there.
Also, Zach Randolph. I proposed one deal with him and then see about two hundred others.
Kwame Brown for a G. Lakers actually like Kwame and probably are not thinking about the G position.
