I'm not surprised. First of all, Dwight really is a good hearted young guy, no question about it. But he is VERY naive, he just screams naive. This is the same guy that was doing favours for a porn star.

He gave in, and now he has a kid. That ex cheerleader is the happiest young woman in Orlando $$$$$$$$$$. Even if they don't end up together, the money she will receive from child support yearly will be in the six figure range atleast. You guys think she didn't want this? She probably ripped the tip of the condom with her finger nails! By any means necessary is the mindset.

He's just a reflection of today's man, not putting the power in his own hands and believing in himself.

Way to go Dwight, another one for the gold-digger.

Howard, as well, doesn't seem like the macho type (attitude wise). She probably suckered him into it.

he's 22, turning 23 this year.... not a big deal. lebron had a kid when he was 18-19, same with brandon roy, deron williams, and thousands of other people within that age range.

As with all children born out of wedlock to parents who aren't together, I fell sorry for the child. I know its very common and supposed to be accepted, but I still think you can't replace two parents. Here's hoping Howard tries to stay involved with his son's life and is not just paying child support. And here's hoping the mother realizes that he is a father and not a cheque.
