i wouldnt mind having luke ridnour or earl watson on this team for his defence but I still think we need a rebounder more than anything.

Decent talent like Ridnour or Watson shouldn't be confined to being an insurance PG (3rd string PG) as they would be overpaid for what they are doing. Unless Colangelo plans to ship off either Jose or TJ, there is really no need to pick up young and potentially expensive talents but instead pick up veteran PGs like Stoudemire whom are on their last legs of their career yet can still ball like no other. Look at Detroit, they have Lindsay Hunter as their insurance PG yet he does a fantastic job given the playing time.
“On paper, in terms of just pure talent, I would say, yes, this is the best team we’ve had,” - Bryan Colangelo (Sep 29, 2008)

Or, he might sign Earl Boykins to a one year deal . If PHX doesn't beat him to it.

Lets get Damon Stoudamire!!!

Raps Trade:
Carlos Delfino
Rasho Nesterovich

Grizzlies Trade:
Stromile Swift
Damon Stoudamire

works in a trade checker too! Both teams save money from this deal because Grizzlies get an expiring contract. While Raptors get a good center (who is a lot cheaper).

And we'll have Moon play 42 minutes a game. You've got my vote for next GM.

If we trade for Watson or Ridnour, Jose is gone. No question about it. We're not going to commit 6-7 million for 3 years for a 3rd string PG. TJ's not getting traded anytime soon until he answers questions about his health, so Jose is expendible.

ridnour and watson have "fat" and "long-term" contracts. if you're going to take either of them, you'll have to give up a lot because they're talent and it makes no sense since raptors already have 2 very talented point guards. unless you want calderon gone this off-season.... which i doubt.

A gaurd? Hows a gaurd going to help this teams problems, we already have a gaurd who can get 10-10 with no turnovers and another gaurd who can put up 30, this team needs a real C or SF

The last position I thought the Raps would look for 3 months into the season is PG. Kinda ironic, after all those TJ vs Jose threads and arguments, ha.

This may be more then BC trying to get a 3rd string insurance pg. The way Calderon is playing he's going to command a lot of money in the offseason and there's no guarantee that we'll be able to keep him. Acquiring a reliable backup point gives us the flexiblity to shop Jose around a bit. Even though I would hate to see Jose traded, it's a better option then us losing him for nothing.

I like Getting Damon from Memphis, but it would be a sweeter deal if Darko came a long with him, although i dont know if Memphis would give him up. Damon is content on the Bench and finishing his career in T-Dot would be a nice end to his days.

From the Sonics both Watson and Ridnour are possible starters and good back up's for any team, and for real I think BC likes ridnour(go figure). There may be something behind this, possibley BC knows something like Jose getting big offers from teams or TJ possibley leaving...i dont really know that part.

Jason Williams wouldnt stick around on the bench, this guy is like a player that is half TJ half Jose in his good days. If we could get him and maybe because we need a young SG or SF like Dorell then a shipment of Juan, Joey or Delfino and a 1st rounder would get the deal done.
