Who Draws The Most Double and Triple Teams?

Post#1 » by CuttingEdge » Fri Jan 11, 2008 2:37 pm

I can't understand how some of you guys and the rest of the people don't understand that statement? Amare Stoudamire ? Dwight Howard ? It surely isn't that hard now is it? Why dont those other guys get that kind of help defense on them because they aren't better. Come On, only the best draws that kind of defense.

amare draws double teams? i rarely see that.

dwight draw a lot of double/triple teams like yao. they're the two best centers right now bar none.

duncan doesn't draw as much b/c he hsa manu and parker.

for perimeter players, the 4 guys who get doubled a lot all over the place are kobe, tmac, bron and wade.

melo gets doubled in the post ALL THE TIME though. other than that, teams play him straight up.

Eddy Curry, for all his negatives, draws as much double and triple teams as any post player in the NBA. There were times last season when the Bulls played the Knicks, they essentially told Malik Allen that his only job was to basically just hang onto Curry whenever he got the ball in the post like if Curry was wearing him like a jacket. This while Wallace and one of the perimeter guys would swarm as soon as Curry touched the ball. Worked at times since Curry doesn't pass out of the double/triple teams, other times Curry just went right to the basket with Malik Allen on his back.

Duncan doesn't draw nearly as much as before because he's no longer their primary option
right now in the paint Yao and Howard draw the most attention
on the perimeter it's Kobe, Wade, LeBron, and T-Mac
funny i don't see team double team the PG to force them to give up the ball
