TOR-MEM-MIN

Post#1 » by inrapscity » Fri Jan 11, 2008 10:10 pm

TOR sends: Rasho, Hump, Garbo, Dixon, Graham, Moon, Martin, Baston, 1st
TOR receives: Miller, Swift, Stoudamire, Doleac, MIN 2nd.

new lineup:

Bargnani/Swift/Doleac
Bosh/Swift
Miller/Kapono
Parker/Delfino
"Ford"/Jose/Stoudamire

reasoning: gets backup PG, rebouding issues are less severe as Miller and Swift are good rebounders, more solid of a team. can trade Parker+Stoudamire in off-season for a good guard or good center. signs Ukic.

MEM trades: Miller, Stoudamire, Swift
MEM receives: Rasho, Hump, Garbo, Dixon, Graham, 1st

new lineup:

Rasho/Milicic/Cardinal
Gasol/Warrick/Hump
Gay/Warrick/Graham
Navarro/Dixon
Conley/Lowry

reasoning: gets rid of Stoudamire and contract, gets a decent/good center to play alongside Gasol, gets similar of Swift in Hump at much cheaper price, gets another athletic sf to experiment with, gets a scorer off the bench in dixon, gets a 1st for building... plus, having garbo there makes gasol a little happier

MIN trades: Doleac, 2nd rounder
MIN receives: Baston, Moon, Martin

not bothering writing lineup. MIN gets some usable players for basically nothing (depends on how they see 2nd rounder vs. Moon). MIN could easily be removed from the deal but I prefer Doleac over Baston.

Didn't you hear? Including the Raptor's only young defender, Kris Humphries, kinda kills deals!

Seriously though, this seems to much for MIN, receiving the promising Moon for the expiring Doleac. MIN would also struggle on finding two players to cut to make the deal work. I haven't looked at the rest, but how about sending out Gerald Green to someone as well.

Wolves don't have roster space to take on one more player, let alone two.

Toronto bends over in this and just takes it with this deal.

Although, they are Canadians so they should be used to it.

Great deal for Minnesota, not bad for Memphis.

People really underestimate Mike Miller on these boards. He consistently has good rebounding numbers from the wing and has the ability to create for himself much better than any player the Raptors currently have at the 2/3 spot.
Toronto would take that deal and run. Although maybe a 2nd and not a first. Or maybe send Green from Minni to Memphis as someone mentioned.

Only when the player coming back is Bassy Tefair.

O.P, are you sure you added enough players from our side? You were only two away from making it double digits!

ah...... forgot about Minny's special situation as a result of KG trade.

still, don't they have 2 players that they could waive?

Miller's good at cutting to the basket. toronto needs a player who'll move without the ball and cut in.

Nope. The only player the Wolves would waive is Doleac, and you've included him in the trade.
